HRT soothes the soul even if you're ugly and don't pass. I recommend it as long as you live somewhere that you won't be murdered, bullied to death, or driven by psychopaths to kill yourself. Also you'd be surprised, sometimes you might think it's hopeless and the hormones actually get you most of the way there. It's hard to tell beforehand how effective it'll be, and it takes longer for some particularly if you aren't up-to-date on what works the best.
