I know at one point I started "hate reading" TERF blogs on Tumblr, because I've always been a "know thy enemy" kind of person, and found myself agreeing with them alarmingly often. I couldn't refute any of their points, and it created unbearable cognitive dissonance. Finally, I actually went and read that entire study that trans people cite all the time as proof that their brains align with their gender identity, and found that it actually doesn't say anything of the sort, not in the slightest. So that shattered the entire foundation of my belief in trans ideology, and that was the point of no return for me.
