Are there legitimate health risks involved with taking hrt? My mom keeps telling me it's going to destroy my heart.
>>
>>41992754
It's mostly just the normal health risks of the opposite sex.

The only thing to watch out for is that oral E comes with an increased risk of blood clots. Injections and transdermal E don't have this.
>>
>>41992774
Are there studies that show this?
>>

in addition to the basic risks (obviously if you take estrogen you get risk of breast cancer etc.), there are some minor risks and side effects tied some of the methods of administration. for example, pills will affect the liver because the hormones have to be metabolized there. if you're concerned about these, just do injections, they have basically no side effects or risks and are the most reliable method of administration anyway.
but no, it's not gonna destroy your heart, it's actually remarkably safe as medical treatments go

Are there studies about how injections have basically no risk? I need to show her some kind of evidence.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK593552/

Overall HRT is incredibly safe. We use bioidentical hormones so it's just like if your body produces those hormones themselves, which obviously shifts your health risks.

your balls might die but you can risk the rest of your transition by keeping them functional
actually idk how exactly that works but it happens to some of us
>>
there bone density and dementia risks as well. ymmv to borrow a term from r*ddit

If you take antiandrogens (bicalutamide being the most common), monitor your liver's health.

Injections are safer (no blood clots risk) buuut there is a slightly higher risk than cis women for a while. If you're under the age of 50, you'll be fine. If older, monitor that shit with a specialist.

If you can, avoid some of the off-label shots.

There are actually no known side effects on the heart.

t. passoid, 10+ years on this

>your balls might die
Over a decade on it and it hasn't happened.

Just adjust the bicalutamide dosage. After several years, the antiandrogen dosage can be adjusted.
But OP is very far from even a theoretical chance of encountering this issue this decade (assuming OP starts now and keeps up with it).

You sound like a success story.
I share details about my more exotic transition sometimes
>just lose weight lol
>>
>>41993087
In many ways I am. Deeply grateful for the luck too. Height within female range, okaysh face by default even pre-E.
But my biggest luck was that I legit didn't have any other wrong wiring in the head. No autism, no neurosis, no... nothing really. Just consistent feminine thought patterns on almost everything that felt bad or empty. Ironically, this delayed my start a little bit because the psychiatrists couldn't believe their eyes lol

If there is a god, then god invented HRT to save me.
I'd be a supreme cunt if I'd complain.

But do share details, nona. We got a longtime repper who lurks around here who starts her journey soon. she definitely needs to hear/read more.
>>
>>41992928
i've certainly never seen anything that would indicate to any risks associated with injections
if you want some definite proof i guess just google scholar something like "trans hrt administration method risks/complications" and you'll get what you're looking for
>>
>>41992754
Is there any risk with drinking alcohol while using oral hrt and spiro?
>>
>>41993153
I trained myself in powers and swore to some grand moral ideal and that apparently is enough to earn major perks (but no income). I cannot prove any of this, it is forbidden etc.. but tl;dr I get my magic transition. So I can transition after 30 and I get my fucking guts pulled down into my ass very fucking slowly while I lose weight and I love and hate it. Everyone would like a magic fucking transition, but then you get a belly full of air while you digest your own bone slush.
This is literally the only place I can complain too everyone else in my life I have to gaslight by default which makes me uneasy
>>
>>41993308
That sounds fucked up.
I'll add one other thing to be grateful I was never into - the occult stuff.

Whew, girl!
>>
>>41992754
short answer no it's pretty much 100% safe
>>
>>41993366
(injections that is, first pass metabolism of oral estradiol has some small risks)
>>
depends when and if ftm or mtf.
>when
obvs kids shouldnt block or start before 18.
>ftm or mtf
ftm is the riskier one because it's not just a suppressant like E, which won't have residual effects if stopped.
T causes semi to permanent changes to endocrine system, and voice. even with ideal dosage, additional hormones/supps, acne is inevitable. and being functionally menopause, it can cause similar symptoms.

Only if you exaggerate.
A few beers over the weekend? All good.
Frequently getting drunk? Really terrible idea as it increases your risk of blood clots. But even if you avoid the blood clots (most do), excess alcohol while on hrt is exacerbating mental health stressors.
Or, put simply, too much alcohol while on hrt will legit make you crazier. By a lot.

On the bright side, E is all the drug you need :3

estrogen literally prevents bone density loss, this is why cis women get osteoporosis after menopause
>>
>>41992754
Hello, my name is Dr Henry Soiberg (just call me Dr Soiberg for now), i’m an expert in this field, and trust me, i think you should take some other meds before you try to take HRT, i recommend trying the experimental “Calm” program, as it’s done wonders for my patients
>>
>>41993697
do you know Dr. Frankencock?
>>
>>41993777
For legal reasons, i’m not allowed to say, nice trips btw, if that even matters
>>
>>41993585
And I think progesterone contributes to bone mineralization too.
"Trans women get osteoporosis" is a meme caused by inappropriately applying male standards + severe European hondosing
