I recently learned a friend of mine started transitioning. When I knew them before, they were a long haired, lean, athletic twink, although their hairline had started to go. I don't know why, but I always figure when other people transition that they'd do it the way I did, that is, boy mode and keep your head down while quietly working on self improvement, baby steps in feminine grooming, etc, so that even if you aren't passing as a woman, you are still an attractive twinky boy.

Boy was I wrong. I'm always fucking wrong. They're a giga fridge now, somehow significantly larger both in terms of fat and muscle, than I last saw them. I'm talking hybrid Danny devito and The Mountain That Rides, tight boomer belt holding up the girthy apple like core, and twig legs while insisting on everyone calling them she and her and ma'am and miss.

It's jarring and soul wrenching and every single time I see people like that it fills my heart with anguish because I dread that how I see them is how others see me. Honestly just seeing them once or twice has fucking spiraled me lately, I hadn't been to this board in years but the secondhand dysphoria is fucking crippling and now they're saying they want to visit me at work, where I'm not out, and will certainly end up outed by association. I try to avoid these kinds of tranners like the age sheerly because their proximity fucks up my quality of life and if people didn't already figure out I was trans they sure as shit would when an gorillamoder starts being all chummy with me.
