>https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38853792/Can gender dysphoria be just a symptom of bipolar disorder in some people? Do you think it can be induced by manic or psychotic episodes?
personally manic episodes are the only times when i dont feel transgender
>>42043257It's /only/ induced by manic or psychotic episodes. Trannies are just mentally ill men and our society is indulging their delusions
>>42043257My interpretation here is that manic episodes sometimes cause eggs or repressors to temporarily come out
All cluster B personality disorders can lead to delusions of gender dysphoria. Autism too.
That would explain quite a bit honestly
>>42043265Do you get dysphoric even on stable/euthymic moods
>>42043280I can relate, mania makes me more open to people, mainly due to impulsivity
>>42043276I get it when depressed you smelly rat
>>42043257Isn't one of the diagnostic criteria for gender dysphoria supposed to be "persistence"?If it goes away as the mania wanes, then it's not persistent. QED.For what it's worth, I think people should be able to transition even if they don't qualify for a gender dysphoria diagnosis.>t. bipolar tranny
>>42043257My confidence in my gender identity waxes and wanes with bipolar episodes but it's been around since I was 12.
>>42043857trve. the pathologization of trans people eventually pushes everybody into DIY, nobody wants to be told what they should or shouldn't do with their bodies
>>42043257Mental illnesses aren't real, hylic normalfag cattle just can't handle superior minds so they pathologise them
>>42043257>very less frequentlyThis is grammatically incorrect right or am I going loco crazy
>>42043257People that do ECT should be rounded up and executed, like should have been done to lobotomists.ECT plus five different drugs for full zombification. Regardless of gender they murdered this person.
>>42043257>SAAR PLEASE SAAR DO NOT REDEEM THE ESTROGEN
>>42046907"engag[ing] in more goal-directed activity" as a symptom really gives the game away
i confidently knew i was trans long before bipolar diagnosis and maybe feel less dysphoria during times of mania and more in times of depression. there might be an argument that bipolar can be triggered in people with a genetic predisposition to it during transition because it is a stressful and often traumatizing experience. Now that i’m on medications i feel what i think is a middle ground amount of dysphoria
