HRTgen is dead and I don't trust ChatGPT, so I'm gonna ask this hereI found some articles stating that high doses of bicalutamide taken for a long time can stop acting as an antagonist and start acting as an agonist of androgen receptors. In other words, it would start activating the receptor instead of blocking it. I’ve been taking 50mg daily for 5 years, and for the past 4 months, I’ve started experiencing very unpleasant effects like increased body hair growth, body spasms, belly fat and underarm odor. What do y'all think about it?Would 0.5mg bica daily be enough or should I go up to 1mg?https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2939361/https://sci-hub.se/10.1038/nm972
Would 0.5mg duta daily be enough or should I go up to 1mg?*
>>42046027Why not mono e?
>>42046050Because I’m doing this without bloodtests. On estradiol monotherapy, I don’t feel the full effects of feminization. For example: without bica, when I get an erection it doesn’t hurt, so with E alone I don’t have penile atrophy. The thing is that bicalutamide stopped working for me so i need a replacement

>>42046027Does anyone know why hrtgen is dead?
>>42046151hey, that's mei didn't get satisfactory answers, so I'll keep trying. it's not like I have anything else to do
>>42046175everyone's using chatgpt nowadays instead of trying to find empirical answers from those who are actually doing the stuff
>>42046211I'm just wondering when it'll be back desu
>>42046385it will be back when AI dies, so probably never.
>>42046406I was literally on it literally last week so I'm sure it'll be back soon
>>42046433oh yes, the thread will certainly return, just not in the way it was before.it was unthinkable a few years ago that HRTgen wouldn't be in the catalog.
>>42046433look retard keep taking bica do blood tests if you are paranoid. increase your e dosage
>>42047036I'm on spiro and thinking of making a switch desu, I'm going to the doctors soon for a bloodtest because surprise surprise I started doing this without any of the tests, the gp will probably be annoyed at the diy stuff since they have no idea so I'm hoping they'll point me in the right direction for the blood tests at least
dutasteride ISN'T AN ANTI-ANDROGENWHY ISN'T ANYONE SAYING THISDOES NOBODY HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE ANYMORE?is this why /hrtgen/ is dead? nobody fucking understands the pills they're taking? duta is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor. it's not an anti-androgen, it won't block T. take cypro if you need. it's a progestin
>Ask about side effects of hrt in another thread because i've considered it as a treatment for hair loss>Get told you might not get random erections or morning wood anymore and will need to concentrate real hard to jerk off>Tfw hadn't had a morning wood or an erection outside of when i'n specifically set out to jerk off since late puberty.Damn.>No hair>No libido>No height>No strenghtThis sucks. I understand the tradeoff of being a man is that youre gross and ugly and have to go die in the war sometimes but you're at least supposed to have a hard penis and strenght in exchange.Fuck my life ig.
>>42047347I was going to say that but most trans people are cruel to me so I did not feel like teaching anything about how DUTA won't do shit.
>>42047499just take dutasteride and cialis gigafaggot
>>42047641Yeah i'll try that first obv but i'm like fully and totally thinned out all over so i've been looking into everything i can.
>>42047668take vitamins I take 6 a day. fish oil b12 eat lots of meat take protein powder (be careful of heavy metals). less stress. dermaroll with a dr.pen (not a shitty dermaroller that causes scarring). use the shampoo kezalone? forgot dandruff could be causing dht issues.
>>42047722I just bought a 1.5mm dermaroller. Are they really that bad? I thought it was fine to use em' but scarring sounds pretty bad.I take vit d3, iron, zinc, magnessium, biotin, vit A and E but no fish oils or b12. I eat mostly meat, not enough veggies prolly and used to drink energy drinks and booze before i noticed the state of my scalp.
>>42047746Also i'd roll it once every 4 weeks to allow for healing for like 5-6 minutes per use.192 needles 1.5mm depth as i've said.
>>42046027if you do stop, start taking duta a month before at least, and titrate off the bicathe T + DHT rebound is insanealso what the fuck is this new sino mechturk captcha>>42047347what does anti-androgen mean to you my anonigadht is a type of androgen, inhibiting 5ar massively decreases its productionnow the nuances of all this, peripheral androgens, paracrine signalling, tissue vs serum levels, metabolic pathways etc etc. is a whole other can of worms, howeveralso if u wanna trigger urself, spiro is considered an anti androgen
>>42047787what if i take both of them? bica AND duta?
>>42046211I tried to get it "clinically" through a therapist which didn't even work and everyone told me clinical doses are shit and diy works better anyway, and then when i try to read the hrtgen stuff i just can't comprehend that shit. it's like trying to learn how to make meth. this shit is so fucking stupid. I'm just a bisexual femboy with a futa fetish caused by being exposed to hentai since age 11/12, anyway, i don't think i would ever transition (at least not at this stage of my appearance/hair length) naturally without any external influence if i never looked at passgen. but i also get extremely jealous of trans women sometimes for some reason, especially when i was on some /int/ thread with a video of a thai tranny and someone said "i would let her rail me". i don't even understand my own feelings. this is all unnecessary.
>>42049618I don't have advice about t blockers but I just want to say good luck OP, I hope you figure out something that works for you. You'll get there.
>>42049685I'm not op ahaha
>>42049713Oh wait so are you not on HRT at all? You know, all the information available about DIY can be intimidating, but it's really as simple as ordering a vial of estradiol enanthate and injecting every week. From there you can see how you feel after a few months, adjust your dosage and possibly start t blockers or prog, but it's super easy to get started.
>>42049754I'm not I'm not sure what to do but I'm struggling to figure things out on my own too haha
THE PICREL BEING HONEY SELECT.... im gagged
>>42049945It's a real struggle. Sometimes your identity doesn't fit neatly into a category and you just need to figure out how you want to live your life.I'm a big supporter of the idea of just people trying HRT. No pressure to label yourself as anything. Some people just feel better on estrogen, some feel better on testosterone. The only way to know for sure is to try, and sometimes knowing how you feel on both hormones can help you learn more about yourself. If estrogen is something you think could improve your life, go ahead and try it. You'll find out really quickly if you do or don't like how it feels. Go to one of the homebrew vendors from your country on the HRT cafe site, and order a vial of estradiol enanthate. Get yourself some alcohol pads and insulin needles. The whole thing should cost only about $100, the difficult part is dealing with bitcoin. You can worry about the more complicated stuff later, but it's that easy to get started estrogen.
>>42050043Thanks for the info Needles are scary as shit, do you think I could start with pills instead
>>42050109The injections are better than pills, they're cheaper and easier to source, and you can typically inject enough estrogen to naturally suppress your testosterone without need to take a blocker (the pills will damage your liver if you take them in that quantity, I think?)Needle fears are tough to get over. Insulin needles are great because the needle is super tiny, you barely even feel it, and they're better for your vial since you're poking a smaller hole. Only downside is it takes longer to draw the oil through the needle. You just have to psyche yourself into poking yourself with a very very small piece of metal... You know, I think the hardest part is making the decision that you want to take control of your life this way. A tiny prick is nothing in comparison. But you can find your own way to get over that first shot, it's easy from there
>>42050181Hmmm thanks for that info as well >You know, I think the hardest part is making the decision that you want to take control of your life this way Nothing in my life was ever in my control from the start, and it never will be. As someone on tohno chan said, our lives are predetermined by fate and gods. Maybe I'll try the shots then. $100 is a lot though.
>>42050360Best of luck to you anon. I do believe things will get better for you. Sometimes you just have to take that difficult step.
>>42050518Thanks
