Why do so many cis people harbor so much contempt for children? I understand not wanting to take on that responsibility, but it seems like there's a growing sentiment among them where they view children as some annoying, gross burden rather than as human beings. The process of carrying a baby is also increasingly being portrayed as some horrifying parasitic infestation, and the toll it takes on the body is blamed entirely on the fetus rather than the lack of support for pregnant women that exists, atleast here in the states. I would give anything to be able to do that for someone I love. It's not fair.

>>42061607I think all of human anatomy is disgusting if you think about it purely in terms of fleshy mechanical parts preforming a biological function. Sex is disgusting, eating is disgusting, aging and growing is disgusting. Pregnancy still feels uniquely awful as it is such a strain on the mother's body and so violently contorts her it to fulfill that purpose, but I think that also choosing to bring an entire new life into the world, one blessed with traits from you and someone that you love, is beautiful and it is something I very much desire.
