it always makes me sad seeing brown people hate themselves for their ethnicity and put white people on a pedestal. we're really not special and i feel like this phenomenom is legit a legacy of european colonialism. everyone should be proud of their heritage and as someone who has a special interest in human diversity i've come to the conclusion that all ethnicities have beautiful people and ugly people at pretty much the same ratio. it's fine to have preferences and to prefer the ethnic characteristics of one ethnicity over another, but please understand that that's just your taste and not some objective judgement and that if you like white people over your own for their ethnic features, there are white people who like YOU for YOUR ethnic features over their own just the same. diversity and the appreciation of it can be a positive force too, like how i dated an asian person and we both found it hot and beautiful how contrasted our looks were and were attracted to each other more for our differences while gaining affirmation of our own beauty from the adoration from each other. basically, stop being self hating and become a racemix fetishist instead
