you're voice is pretty good but if you want to improve it then i would think about making it less nasal
i might be wrong but maybe you should try pushing your larynx less upwards and more backwards so thatthe resonating cavity stays about the same in size but you don't push it too much into your velum
>>
>>42074812
not exactly sure how you mean bring it backwards .. thank you for trying to help tho <3
>>
>>42074881
everyone says "raise your larynx" but i've seen one anon once say that for her it was actually pushing your larynx backwards that worked better
technically it would make sense bc it would reduce the space in the cavity that is reponsible for f1 resonance without pushing the roof of your tongue into your velum and getting a nasal quality, but in practice i don't even have an idea which muscles should you use to push your larynx back

you're at the point where the thing that's going to change is from socializing. i think that is the hardest part, and a big part of it is adding bounce

I mean... i wish i could ever speak with a voice like yours. Your weight seems super feminine, it has this good "peep"-ish quality that you expect from female voices, but maybe what sounds odd here is that your pitch is not as high as you would expect from such a light voice? kind of what gives this "hollow" quality, i think you should be able to speak like 2 half-tones higher without much issues. or maybe it's the resonance that could be pushed even higher, although if this is it, it will prob be harder to fix

https://voca.ro/1a3BBKkghveG
i cant tell if its actually bad because like itll sounds horrible to me when i play it back and sometimes when i open my mouth i get called out in vc . but also sometimes something will happen like a kid will join and be homophobic and racist in the same vc and ill say "my gf" and hell go "youre a lesbian?!" like i feel like if they knew theyd be transphobic about it. but it seems so obvious to me
>>
>>42078469
ok i mightve been right bc i've pitched you up like 1.5 semitones in audacity and you sound perfect and unclockable this way, in my opinion
your initial "hello" was at like 225hz and then you maintained 170hz, you should aim for 250 and 190 and that's totally doable
this + raise your larynx a lil bit more and you effectively become cis
>>
>>42078681
Coming from a fellow Midwesternite you sound fine and like a woman
>>
>>42078681
you sound like a cis woman who half-consciously maintain a lower and calmer voice
i have no idea how voicepassing could ever be an issue for you
i feel like what you need is a wider range that allows for more expression and you can practice that by simply singing ig
>>
>>42078625
its a good pitch, just i think it sounds a little forced because you have a little timbre. probably work on the timbre and sustaining the pitch bc it sounded like you were struggling

>>42078681 you sound mostly fine..pitch is definitely good and you dont need any changes for sustaining it. but same timbre things. >>42078709 is right, mostly. its fine but you sound like a 30-year-old smoker. if youre about that age then perfect but if youre younger it'll probably sound weird

>>42078681
the foundation is fine, just be more emotive, less flat. I cant really clock anything outside of that. if i heard u in a vc i wouldnt suspect anything.
>>42078469
little too monotone, a tiny more reso work needed. the opening "hello" is perfect, shoot to stay in that range
>>42076199
hi karter. report that usps guy bro tf
>>42076090
nothing to improve from this clip
>>42074789
a little too nerd emoji (nasal!) besides that not much else to change, a little flat as well. foundation is fine tho.
>>
im >>42078681
>>42078709 thank you >_< but also i still feel like shit every time i open my mouth to speak

>>42078750 i have been singing and desu singing and trying to voicematch female artists is pretty much the only way I've voice trained for the last 3 years. maybe my taste makes those songs less variable and makes me have a lower range? idk. i mostly listen to laufey and mitski or oldish jazz

>>42078759 im 19 so sounding like a middle aged smoker is bad. you seem like youre in the minority here though so what would you say i should do

>>42078775 first of all your voice is literally perfect. are you just here to flex on us? also yeah then i definitely will try but whenever i try going lower it feels male and whenever i try going higher it sounds fake as hell (to me. but i also think my voice always sounds fake) so i avoid it I think
>>
>>42079024
>maybe my taste makes those songs less variable and makes me have a lower range?
you should have no issues finding a song sung by a woman that sings outside of your range. try to find them, be careful not to sing an octave lower and try to reach these higher notes, even if it feels hard at first
>>
>>42079059
of course its easy to find i just meant maybe my tastes makes most of what i listen to less emotive and lower pitched. ill definitely try to purposefully sing outside of my range though

>also yeah then i definitely will try but whenever i try going lower it feels male and whenever i try going higher it sounds fake as hell (to me. but i also think my voice always sounds fake) so i avoid it I think
practice even if it sounds fake, the more you do it the more "real" itll feel ! shit just takes time, but the biggest giveaway for clocking "almost-there" voices tends to be if theyre flat/not emotive. thankfully this is easy enough to practice just by hanging out with friends or whatever, dont be afraid to go out of your comfort zone. repetition is key.

i appreciate your compliment as well. i wouldnt call it perfect, im definitely still shakey on quite a few things (mostly consistency, i like to sound more boyish sometimes so when i try to sound more fem it takes awhile for me to switch back to it. woes of nonbinary or whatever.). i started in 2019 and have gotten this far mostly by mimicry and repetition. you've already done the hard part, just work on emotive and you'll be done!
>>
>>42079092
you mentioned mitski
try mitski i'm your man
right at the start she hits an f#4 which is like 370hz
but i think it can be doable
>>
did anyone else mostly stop getting clocked as soon as voice started working?
>>
>>42078759
I have asthma so what you probably heard was wheezing

I'm ftm. My voice used to be way worse before I did speech therapy as a kid. I think I need to work on it more

i said ive been singing but heres a sample. this is actually my favorite song rn

you are whispering so hard. why. also youre singing an octave (?) lower than the real song
>>
>>42080737
i do not think it is bad you just sound autistic
