Every time I want to feel better about myself I check out what Halimede is up to and ugly-laugh at how cute her posts are. I don't see anything resembling fetishism or objectification on her twitter page and she even approaches c4t subjects in a mature way.Why have I heard that trans women don't like her? Is she not giving a good name to cisf chasers? To me she seems extremely sweet and thoughtful.

The twitter account is not associated with the devs or anything (the lead artist said seeing her get so huge is like being dr frankenstein seeing his monster out of control or smth) but is apparently a really autistic superfan who wanted to create a persona based on her interpretation of the character. She came up with the whole halimede is a chaser thing, as well as the unique speech mannerisms, but the core values of the character remain the same between the VN and the twitter account. Eventually, the account grew far beyond the scope of HWBM fans because trans women love the idea of a cis chaser, and now 90% of people developing some opinion on why she's evil or based or whatever don't even understand where she comes from.
