so i ghosted my parents and have essentially been hiding from them since i got FFS and transitioned. Tonight they showed up outside my apartment saying they want to see me im so fucking scared. I unironically had a nightmare last night that they were looking around my neighboorhood for me. i was closeted to them, and its a recurring nightmare of mine, them seeing me fully transitioned.

>>42093272i did this and didn’t say anything, just quietly was on hrt for 10 years after moving out post hs, then showed up for a family funeral then a wedding appropriately dressed for my appearance and it was the most seamless thing.some family mentioned the noticed change of things with ‘congrats’ and other weird stuff, but most just accepted and adapted without issue. without coming out or asking, i began getting referred to as she/her, or my father/mother’s daughter & as an aunt, etc because it contextually made the most sense.i wish for a similar scenario for you aswel OP
