I have not read stirnerAt some point, queerness probably existed in much more purely physical terms; men fucking men, women lopping off their boobs, men having their testes done away with.But these things were not all gay, instead they each had their own cultural ideas associated with them (i.e pederasty, amazonians, eunuchs)Now, these things have been branded under the same LGBT umbrella as they have a shared history of oppression. These expressions of queerness existed in hidden subcultures, and being as small as these subcultures were, they formed a veritable counter-culture. Counter-cultures offer an alternative narrative to those who are dissatisfied with the mainstream narrative of a society/culture. I would say that part of the issue of queerness is that it no longer really has a solid foundation of collective oppression upon which it can form an identity/narrative. It has gotten big enough that it has formed its own values which are now in veritable competition with the values of "old" mainstream culture. Along with this new mass acceptance of queer culture in the west, people have now began to blindly accept this culture under the guise that it offers a truer expression of the Will. Think of the American dream and its failings; I believe that queerness and more precisely transness is another framework which people believe will offer freedom of will, but which ultimately gives way to degeneracy. There's another issue though: the values of the ideology. The American Dream pretty clearly has economic freedom as its core value. But what does Queerness offer? I would say that it is quite clearly sexual freedom. Thus both of these systems create hierarchies , one based on economic status, and the other based on sexual status (which is quantified as attractiveness and sexual deviancy imo).
This brings me to my final point. So many of you are clearly suffering under the Queer (but most likely also the Capitalist) framework. If the framework you orient your life around does not serve you, why adopt it? We have reached an age where the communities around these beliefs are so fractured, and it is so easy to find people who wish to live according to alternative values, so why not create your own or adopt values which best suit you?I grapple with queer identity but I know that it would not do me good to make it a part of my core. fuck me up and tear me apart please
