>prog is actually honscience
and I was just about to try pio too, what else have I been lied to about
>>
sauce pls
>>
prog is honscience is honscience
>>
I remember reading about how in cis populations, taking exogenous prog actually lowered sex drive slightly instead of the extreme increase so many trans women seem to report. Something about how when we are all dysphoric, the inhibition-lowering effects of allopregnanolone on the body can make us more comfortable expressing sexual desire. Prog definitely does stuff but it's very seldom the stuff that people like to claim

piog isn't honscience, it works, its just dangerous
prog isn't conscience its just kind a theoretical ymmv type deal
E made me three inches shorter and gave me period cramps is honscience
>>
Someone should edit prog's wikipedia page then, there's a lot of honscience on there
>>
idk if it's "honscience," it seems to work for some people. but did literally fuck-all for me
>>
>>42108053
>may also be
>to some extent
>only definitive info is pertaining to lactation
It's all just very anecdotal. You can take prog if you want, but IMO it's irresponsible to act like it will always make one's tits bigger or have any definitive physiological effects like estrogen will.
>>
>>42108040
Can e actually make you shorter
>>
>>42108078
Absolutely not
>>
>>42108078
NTA but iirc it can have a very minor effect on height due to some sort of compressing of vertebrae in the spine. It might do more if you start before your growth plates seal, but idk.
>>
>>42108078
Sure if you start slouching once you take it
>>
>>42108095
Bad posture is bad tho
>>
>>42108074
>only definitive info is pertaining to lactation
No, to lobuloalveolar development. That tissue labeled 3 in picrel just won't be present in your breasts if you don't take prog
>>
>>42108083
Is it over if im 5’6 before taking e
>>
>>42108151
joever, ngmi
>>
>>42108160
What do i do
>>
>>42108078
i think it's important to remember that most people are retarded (even trannies) and their ability to accurately measure anything should absolutely be doubted
especially amabs that are incentivized to add and round up their inches
>>
>>42108507
>with simulated menstrual cycles and all
this is real honscience
>>
>>42108548
Until we have the money and resources to properly study it, the best assumption is that we should be mimicking as closely as we can how things normally work.
>>
>>42108004
Didn't we just have a study that confirmed prog boosts breast volume in trannies?

It certainly helps my mood which is why I take it.
>>
>>42108004
prog's important but people misuse it or use it for the wrong things. being estrogen dominant - in the sense of too much estrogen relative to progesterone - probably isn't really good for you in the long-term. personally i went off prog for most of this year because i couldn't afford it and i feel like i felt very lethargic and less mentally stable without it, and i also gained weight and bloating was worse. i'm starting it again now.
>>
>>42109332
I believe yes, but for something to be "actual science" and "evidence based medicine" usually they are looking for a giant meta analysis of many studies. This is what they say:
>The Honscience Flaw: Many people cycle progesterone to "mimic a period." You do not have a uterus. You are shedding the lining of nothing. Cycling hormones simply introduces mood instability for the sake of roleplaying a biological function that isn't happening. Continuous dosing is likely superior for mental stability, yet the community obsesses over cycling based on vibes.
Well I would say people aren't trying to mimic a period so much as mimic a cis hormone cycle and they are taking progesterone in order to round out breasts, nothing to do with a uterus. So this is a rather dismissive description. Also that study uses ORAL progesterone which is not recommended anywhere in the trans community so any prog advocate would immediately point out they were taking it in a way that is known to prevent prog from actual getting into the bloodstream.

This. Any time im off progesterone i feel really off balance. Kinda similar to being off E. Worst is when Spiro is out and I had fuck ass plume so rescripting took like a month I could literally feel the test coming back into my body and it was super unpleasant
>>
>>42109441
It's huge. When I forget prog I feel worse and that makes it easier to forget prog again and it's this cycle. Plus I really do like the prog libido.
>>
>>42108004
this retarded gigahon fed should not call anything "honscience"
>>

btw
hrt.gumi.gay is the ""correction""
>>
>>42109441
yeah i haven't taken anti-androgens in years at this point but that will feel horrible. i had a couple of phases where i didn't do my injection for a few weeks and i hated it.
>>42109459
THIS, exactly. when i'm off prog i have hella brain fog, daily tasks become harder so naturally it makes it harder to get back on prog and stick to it. it's why a couple of times i've gotten back on it for a few days only to stop again.
