There's a 15 year age gap between me and my boyfriend. I always knew he used to be married but I didn't know he had a child. We're 10 months into this thing. I'm thinking about calling it quit now because as a tranner my brain is sending warning signals about potential future problems about dating someone with a child.
>>
>We're 10 months into this thing

Do you love the man or not?
That's really the question.
If you do, then carry on. Overcoming difficulties will strengthen your bond.

If you don't, then call it quits.

I do like him. It's too early to tell if it's love desu
>>
>>42109055
why dont you want to be a step-mother?
>>
>>42109055
Break up with him and stay away from child please.
>>
>>42109148
Because most people see a trans person in close proximity with a child and think like this guy >>42109150
>>
>>42109055
this is like the only way to get to have a child but also >>42109157
is a valid concern
>>
>>42109055
i mean dating with a child is super hard already i feel like. you could just be chill and ignore the child - just understand that they are important to your man or hou can become a parent. or be a loner.

Too early after 10 months? You can't be serious.

Where the hell do you all live?
I live in a conservative country of Europe and nobody gave a shit when I went to pick one of my nephews from school.
Even the guard called him with "your aunt is here for you".

Stop letting algorithmic enshitification of social media and fleeting political babbling infect your brains, nonas. Like, for real!

Just don't be the "yes ma'am" meme and you'll be fine. Sheesh.

Cute
But Europe doesn't have the same stigma of trannies being negatively associated with children like America does.

well you dont have to be alone with his child. if its a man, a passoid and a child, no one is going to bat an eye.

>>42109212

Have you wondered why?
The reason is simple: Here we actually police our own ranks.
There were attempts at "drag queen story hour" in various countries of Europe as well. It was some of us who made sure that didn't hit the news and quietly get those events moved away from schools.

"Yes kweeen" hugboxing has consequences. Screaming "transphobia" at any disagreement has consequences. Who knew?

Still, I doubt most people would care if OP were to continue to be involved with her boyfriend.
Probably the boyfriend also has a custody agreement in place. If he has full custody, then they're set. They can just move to a bigger city and that's it.

The crabs-in-the-bucket mentality and the panic porn on this board is toxic. In the quest for positivity, you're directly preventing other people's happiness.

I grew up with a step parents too so I understand.

I feel like I put too much weight on the word love. Love to me is something unbreakable. Like come hell or heaven I would still be by someone if I loved them.

sounds like you ate up the romanticized disney idea of unconditional love that is so prevalent in western culture. the reality is love is a normal emotion to feel towards someone who you have an intimate connection with, romantic or not, and there is nothing special about it. it comes and goes. and unconditional love doesnt exist btw, not even from a parent to their child and certainly not between romantic partners. its a childish fantasy

is she wrong tho?
>>
>>42110032
Yes.

Drag queen story hour has nothing to do with trans people and was entirely cooked up by cis gays (the only type of people who are drag queens) as an attack against trans women because they were jealous we were getting too much positive attention.
>>
>>42109267
Interesting, when was this? Was this around 2016 when the culture war stuff took off in the US?
>>
>>42109055
Age gap relationships never work. When he was in highschool you were still sucking on your mom
>>
>>42109055
Does he like take care of the child or is it like the mom has full custody in another state and he never sees his kid? Either way, a pretty big red flag for that to not come up for ten months.
