i started having dysphoric thoughts (mostly about my face structure, but some about my body now) when i was 17, first monthly, then at 18 weekly, and currently (21) about daily. its not soul crushing and i think i would be happy just twink/enbycoping for the rest of my life if it weren't for the thought of further masculinization as i age. twink death is horrific.but at the same time, while most of the effects of hrt really appeal to me (softer skin, lighter body hair, maybe some body changes), im kind of autistic about health and fitness and the thought of losing my strength and penis function and possibly permanently ruining my natural endocrine system is also pretty scary.would dht blockers help at all to reduce further masculinization, beyond just hair loss? or is it all just fucked for me if i dont go on hrt? i'm less concerned with "being a woman" and more just don't want look in the mirror and see a masculine ogre for the rest of my life (although, admittedly, i kind of cringe when i have to click "male" on forms etc)
>>42126873>would dht blockers help at all to reduce further masculinization, beyond just hair loss?maybe if you went all in on dutasteride, but probably not>although, admittedly, i kind of cringe when i have to click "male" on forms etc it's over
i also like. think i would never pass which is another disincentive for hrt. i dont even care about passing its just that other people do.im 6'2 and unfortunately the sport i am really autistically into (rock climbing) means i will always have a wider back/shoulders and skinnier legs. and id rather be dysphoric than quit desu
>>42127062>im 6'2honestly dont transition at this height
>>42126873>would dht blockers help at all to reduce further masculinization, beyond just hair loss?DHT is primarily responsible for the initial development of masculine hair (e.g. facial hair, body hair), so in theory if you use DHT blockers you may stop further hair from developing. DHT also increases things like skin oiliness, acne, sweating, and body odor, so you may very well see a reduction in those as well.Go all in on dutasteride like that other anon suggested.
>>42126873>would dht blockers help at all to reduce further masculinization, beyond just hair loss?Absolutely not. If you started taking it when you were 8? Yes, as dht really is only being used during very early stages of puberty. But it would really only stop your penis from growing at most.Do not take dht blockers as an alternative for hrt. Im a cis straight guy, I take dht. Its only other effect other than slowing hair loss is reduced libido for some guys (im one of them)Im incel so it doesn't matter. No girl, tranny, or guy will fuck me. But I can hopefully still save my hair
i hope you enjoy climbing up walls for the rest of your lifesounds funand if wanting to climb up walls is reason enough to not take hrt then you aren't a tranny anyway, so congrats, life will be ezmode for you
>>42128551i mean its not the reason to never transition it just contributes to the fact that i would prob never have a passing body. which realistically was already the case thanks to beign 6'2. im kind of a twink currently anyways, its not like i have THAT much muscle, i have 0 interest in bodybuilding. but i like feeling strong! and goin outside. and that is my avenue for those things
>>42128504>Yes, as dht really is only being used during very early stages of puberty. That's just not true. It's primarily responsible for the development of facial and body hair (people with 5AR2D do not develop facial hair), not to mention being primarily responsible for hormonal acne. DHT does a bunch of nasty stuff; just because you don't get those kinds of effects doesn't mean others don't.
