The jester design and expressions suggest they're silly or foolish (maybe struggle with not being taken seriously?), the style tells me they're queer and alt. Is the dead fish supposed to represent something, or is it just for fun? If it means anything, what does it mean in combination with the ears, ram horns, and tiny bat wings? If they are a dead fish, why do they have these features? Are the colors relevant, or just a stylistic choice? Obviously you can put anything on your character, but there's so much going on I don't know what's really going on.
