Why are lgbts so common in art classes and art spaces in general?

I don't know if it's nature or nurture but it's probably a mix of both. Also you kind of have to have a pretty big personal breakthrough to accept not having the sexuality or gender that was preordained for you. That kind of experience in life would naturally make someone more artistically curious compared to someone who just does what's expected of them and then wakes up at 50 not knowing who they are.
