are there any decent imageboards left on the internet? the entire site sucks ass now and this place is like 90% tourists, all the ones i can find are dead or suck for some other reason nowadays and i'm too schizo to use discord servers
>>42172028idk, ig theres leftypol? but their lgbt is basically dead it seems like
>>42172028imageboards were never about being good
>>42172043yeah its cooked>>42172047sybau
>>42172028i think it's the end of the line. there's no space to carve out on the internet anymore. i wish i had been around in more of the heyday of forums and had gotten to visit stuff like the chelouranya shining world... all that's left now is wasteland....things r gonna get way more interesting if the concept of a single centralized internet becomes untenable later down the line
Altchans are a mixed bag. I miss krautchan
>>42172028I'm waiting for the resurgence once discord dies
>>42172137there will just be another social media that fills its role but shittier
>>42172028I think readily accessible ai spam precludes not only imageboards as a medium but organic internet discourse entirely

>>42172028nah it's time to go outside
>>42172028Lain Chan is pretty good, maybe explore some of the webrings and get into the indie internet scene it’s cool
>>42172290good recommendation actually
>>42172028rdrama is alrighthttps://rdrama.net/
>>42172290>>42172306I'll second this. Lainchan is the only other image board I ever used. A lot of its boards are kind of slow if memory serves, but it's a pretty cozy community overall. I always meant to submit something to their zine.
>>42172348a thread on lain about estrogens effects on males made me try hrt
let's start a private BBS
>>42172404i've thought about this for a while, as far as 4chan would be far better with a whitelist. this is a good harmony between the 'anonymity' of 4chan and the community of a discord server.the system i imagine is like a light family tree where if someone you invited gets banned, you are warned in some capacity for inviting a low quality user. maybe that's a bit harsh though
>>42172450how would you be able to get enough users tho? most people here dont know each other so wouldnt be able to vet someone to be allowed to join
>>42172028Nup. The Jews have been incredibly thorough in making all forms of communication they don't control unusuable.
You can join Emily's discord, it's okay sometimes. discord.gg/ABHVxD4KD
I hate to say this but I think we all either "make it" and move on from imageboards (or maybe check back in very rarely) or we off ourselves, so the populace either gets constantly replaced by young newfags that slowly change the culture or the population declines so posts get less and less frequent but the culture stays roughly the same and the quality is higher as perceived by the populace. I'd find a nice comfy slow board and try to make some anon friends by connecting offsite for when the site dies. Maybe go back and view the archives also, 4chan has always been full of young people posting cringe and loving it then complaining in a few years as they get replaced by the new cringe. Same thing as what happens in real life only many times faster.
>>42172472i'm incined to say it'd be a matter of a) patience b) extracting from an existing community or c) having an "open beta" of sorts, taking in users from the public and diligently pruning any baitposters before transitioning (ha) to a system where invite codes are needed to create accounts. all of these have their pros and cons probably but i think the end product would be valuable since the biggest problem here is the vast amount of low-effort content, and more arguably the despairing attitude brought on by the appearance of an atomized userbase. that's just a theory tho
>>42172661i will add too, a forum would be fun but in my mind media-sharing is an essential part of the /tttt/ identity. i download and upload pictures i like all the time and despite it being mostly wordless it's a very fun cultural thing
>>42172348Was this the imageboard that spawned some schizo cult a while ago that thought they were going to upload their brains to some alien Internet?
>>42172028Learn Japanese, my friend. They're alive and well in Nippon.
>>42173461No. I suspect you're thinking of the Tsuki Project. They were a cult that turned out to be a creepypasta that turned out to be an art project. Unless that was just a cover and it really was a cult.
>>42172328I took a look at this site one time and browsed through a couple boards but it's too redditesque for me to ever see myself using even if I was interested in drama slop. Reddit is also extremely unpleasant to post on but at least they have hobby boards
