I'm a cis man but I'm afraid that the only way I can be happy is trooning out. The only other way in life I see is to dedicate my life to science or become a monk

you sound like you jsut need something - anything - to anchor your identity.

yeah, you are right. I need to believe in something or maybe be a part of something... it's hard for me to see the point in life otherwise

trooning out is like the opposite of being traditional (which is an integral part of being a monk)

it's like being stuck in a limbo where you are neither a real man nor a woman
>>

that's fair, most people do.
trooning out is possibly the worst choice, though - for obvious reasons.

It isn't impossible... There have been a few trans monks we know of. Sorrawee Nattee became a monk after winning Miss Tiffany Universe 2009.

i guess it is a bit different because I want to do it not because I want to belong to a group of people but just because I think I'd be more satisfied with my life

It's like being a gay priest, there certainly are some, but we all know that bible does not allow that

monkmaxxing mogs all other options anon - i see trooning out the same way I see getting into med school, don't do it unless you have your heart in it to dedicate your life to it and not half ass it. You have to have very deep reasons for it that aren't shit like "I wanna be cute" so you're not miserable as you're transitioning. Monkmaxxing can't really go wrong. It's a very low barrier to entry and even if you stop being a monk you won't end up with permanent side effects at the end of it the same way you would after trooning
>>

my reason was "i wanna be cute" but to be fair i was also thinking of kms every day, so i dont really think of trooning as an achievement but more just a coping mechanism like taking drugs
