Why does the TERF movement seem to attract primarily gen X women? Transphobes come in all stripes of course, but this specific demographic seems to be made up primarily of ugly post menopausal facebook moms in their 40s or 50s. You'd usually figure that a movement branding itself as feminist would attract a primarily younger demographic of women, but that is not at all the case. those groups tend to brand themselves under the label radical feminist, and are differentiated by an ideology of genuine political misandry and female separatism, whereas terfs really can hardly be considered feminist at all, and only seem to have an interest in attacking percieved patriarchy when and only when it can be used to harm trannies.Oddly, boomers seem to be mostly absent from the terf movement, and primarily stick to Bible thumping or 'it makes me feel gross' as their reasons for demonizing trans people.
>>42199524"TERFs" are mostly tradfems and femreppers, so they attract the older crowd who doesn't want change.
>>42199524Middle class women who are annoyed that their views which were radical in the 80s and 90s are no longer radical in the 21st century. They hate all natal males but know that attacking powerful men would be risky so they instead kick down at powerless natal males: trans women.
>>42199524GenX was the generation of pussyhat feminists and I think that explains a lot
>>42199564Truly, they taught us not to reduce women to biology, by insisting that womanhood be all about biology
