How did you pay for FFS? What surgeon did you get? How much was the cost?

I'm looking into FFS now as a 21 year old boymoder who works at Walmart. All of this stuff costs more money than I will ever be able to save up in my entire life. Well, I could save up for it, but I want to get FFS asap because it is the last thing I need to do to pass. My life can't start until I get FFS.
Despite good surgeons costing 50k+, I may be able to either get my insurance to cover it (BCBS covers gender affirming care), or I could possibly go to Europe to get it done, provided I start saving very intensely.
Any advice for getting FFS as a poorfag is appreciated.

I have BCBS and made a list of recommended surgeons my insurance would cover, though I tried to focus on those nearest me (East Coast). Where are you located? California has many of the best surgeons.

>Where are you located?
North Carolina.
>made a list of recommended surgeons my insurance would cover
How did you see which ones your insurance would cover? I have private insurance I pay for myself, not through a job or anything, and I'm 99% sure it covers gender affirming care. That's what it says online, but I've never checked with my actual plan. I don't see why it wouldn't, unless that's something specific I have to pay to add on.
>California has many of the best surgeons
Yeah, I've looked into Jumaily. I think I would really want him, since he seems to have the best results I've seen BY FAR, but I've also read about people have quotes of up to 70k and I doubt my insurance would cover someone in California. There's also Mardirossian in Virginia that I've heard is good and has some good results. There's a guy, can't remember his name, people call him QQ, in France, but I'm unsure about him. He doesn't have good before and after pics / testimonials.

>How did you pay for FFS?
starbucks paid for it :)
>What surgeon did you get?
spiegel
>How much was the cost?
over $100k USD, lol

Does Starbucks pay for any surgeon? How'd you get Spiegel? I may consider applying to Starbucks...

Your insurance provider should have a search tool for providers on your plan on the provider website.

Unfortunately, Jumaily does not take insurance and I'm pretty sure Mardiossian doesn't either. None of the surgeons of that quality do to my knowledge.

For providers around NC that take BCBS, here's what I have:

Elda Fisher (NC)
David Chou (GA)
Jacob Kuperstock (VA, heard very mixed things)
Jonathan Black (VA)
Praful Ramineni (DC area)
Gabriel del Corral (MD)
Fan Liang (MD)

it did at the time. this was years ago. last i heard they got tired of shelling out $100k on trannies who worked there for 6 months part time and then quit immediately after getting their surgery lmao
>>
>>42200764
Are any of those surgeons actually decent? I was also just reading on Reddit that BCBS Premara, through Starbucks, covered Jumaily and Mardirossian
>>

These are all surgeons I've seen recommended and Ramineni seemed particularly praised.

You might be able to get out of network coverage for them, I'm not sure. These are just from my list of ones I know accept my BCBS insurance.

I can't find anything searching on the portal for "gender affirming care" or "facial feminization"

I had to look up each doctor by name. Some are listed under various different specialties.

I'm also looking to get FFS soon but I might have other major healthcare expenses coming up (having to see specialists for other health conditions) so I'm really cautious.
>>
>>42200825
Also waitlists for providers are really really long. The really famous ones are often years long.
>>
>>42200890
so, the way i >>42200710 did it was to get on the wait-list ASAP and tell them i would take any cancellations at all, no matter how short notice. and then one came up and i got an early spot :)
>>
>>42200852
I see can't find any of doctors, but maybe I'm on the wrong tool? These websites are never very clear.
>>
>>42200899
What surgeons would you recommend? I'm trying to get as many good providers as I can and I definitely cannot afford anything without insurance, as much as I would like Deschamps-Braly.
>>
Oooh, maybe I'm not finding anything because I have Blue Value... I mean, it's still a very very good insurance. I have no deductible and half the shit on my plan is free.

spiegel or keojampa would be my recs

if you search their names in the archives, you should see lots of good info
e.g., ten seconds of searching and i found https://archiveofsins.com/lgbt/thread/41757312/#41765744

I've heard Spiegel has a reputation of letting his fellows operate without informing patients, but I also know a lot of the other major surgeons trained under him.

1) I inherited a large sum of money and used some of that but it was plausibly savable (sum was 14.5k euro + accomodations)

2) Quentin Qassemyar

3) Picrel was the breakdown for my quote

he's the best combination of really fucking good and short(ish) wait times
he does good work. i am pretty sure that is just a rumor that's been going around for years. he's just kind of autistic, but my god he changed my life. i went from a caveman crimson chin to an average 6-7 white girl
he works black magic i swear to god

Gotcha. Frankly I'm really worried about botched results because I already have really poor mental health (I think my brain is inflamed or something).
>>
>>42200764
Jumaily negotiated with my insurance (BCBS IL) but apparently they're an outlier for doing that.
t. not a poorfag and have a good employer plan, but just thought i'd chime in
