collections edition ??
i realized that i can just make a new thread. so i'm doing that. itt we help each other achieve voice goals :)

>QOTT
do you collect something? tell us about it in a voca.ro
>>
Just get your vocal cords stretched
>>

i put this in another thread lole how do i make this more androgynous
>>
why does /voicegen/ not have links?

also am i supposed to aim for a high register or like a mid one? high sounds really fake. like how many octaves up are you supposed to go

we used to have a whole OP copypasta but nobody posts it anymore :( i would have myself but i am phoneposting and will not be searching through the godawful archives without an adblocker </3
as for pitch, stick to something that feels natural, or mostly natural, so probably lower (it is usually the lower voices i think sound most natural and passable). resonance is the foundation of your voice and matters way more than pitch. focus on that and let pitch follow :)

very breathy (intentional?) and sort of weak-sounding, but you sound like you're mostly where you need to be, if you were to speak normally. there is a slight faggy lilt, also.

sorry nona :( i didn't mean to make you feel bad. you do not sound like a man at all, to be clear. as a matter of fact while listening to your initial recording i was thinking that while i can clock you, i cannot imagine this voice coming out of anyone but a woman. anyhow i thought that you were doing an ASMR meme thing in your initial recording; this one is good for comparison. you definitely are pretty breathy and your voice, at the start of this recording, still sounded weak. but you fixed that around the time you started talking about projecting!
you might be trying too hard to raise your pitch. try what i said in the response above you and let resonance do the heavy lifting; it doesn't sound like your resonance is a problem at all. try to speak totally naturally and see how that sounds and feels.
as for the "fagcent"....i really have nothing :( that will probably take a concentrated effort to alter your speech.
you are on a good path, though, nona. please don't let what i said discourage you.

just watch transvoicelessons to start and record your voice for practice
>>

thread is very dead yea :( i was hoping we would have more participation. you'll have to give me a bit (like a few hours......i am at work </3) but i'll record something to demonstrate what i'm talking about with the speaking-naturally stuff (although i am probably not a very good example myself).
do you mean to say that you are doing absolutely nothing to sound the way that you do? that this is just how you talked even prior to voice-training? i should think probably not but i don't know you.....what i'm saying, though, is that you should start basically from nothing (like, your voice before doing anything at all to it) and then just kind of talk. rely on resonance more than pitch or tone or breath or anything else, if that makes sense. sorry if i'm just talking in circles i keep having to put my phone down lole

no ive voice trained a bunch. this is how i sound after voice training. i used to sound pretty different i think
>>
conversational: (recorded this because the reading is so different so i wanted a contrast)

reading: https://voca.ro/19oI1STkjkPZ i usually wouldnt post this cuz i'm not very satisfied by it, but i think it's androgynous in a way i really think is *interesting* and different from my neutral voice. if people have knowledge of what i'm doing here (like what words people would describe that as, yknow?)

>>42209140
i like this one, your other one was a chant which by it's nature doesnt vary pitch, so it was gonna be different than regular speech.

this is baseless speculation, but i wonder if youre not satisfied with other aspects of your transition. your voice is basically perfect, sometimes it sounded unsupported and a little hollow, but it's really nice. if the worry is having a passing voice, you're at the point where your voice passes.
>>42206625
are you ftm? wondering cuz this is an androgynous voice. if you increase the buzzing which is audible when you say Um and most vowels, your voice will become more masculine, and if you reduce it it'll become more feminine. if you listen, the "manliest men" construct their entire words out of just the buzz

there's like 3 miscellaneous voice threads of girls being like "argh help!!!" right now

>your other one was a chant which by it's nature doesnt vary pitch
well, i want my chanting to pass and sound good too
>i wonder if youre not satisfied with other aspects of your transition
im not satisfied with any of it
>your voice is basically perfect
thankyou. thankyuou very much
>>

i could hear you falter a bit because of your confidence, be bold and brave. voice is basically the key to truly transitioning. if you speak like a girl even if you're out as a trans woman, women will listen to you as a woman. you can focus on other elements, but consider yourself a beginner master. you'll only advance using your voice regularly irl, and to do that effectively you'll have to present feminine or share your new voice with people you trust, share it like "this is my new voice, i'll be using it 100% of the time and i want u to hear this as me"
>>
>>42211510
i already use it irl 100% of the time. this is um. this is my only voice i have. im an out trans girl and this is how i always sound, i dont have some other guy voice i do around people. this is my voice alone and around other people.
