Finasteride blocks just two, whereas dutasteride blocks all three. Outside of that more technical junk, dutasteride also has a significantly longer half life, meaning it takes longer to leave your system after you stop taking it. This can be troublesome if you have negative side effects, but severe ones are rare and very often overstated online. I had no negative side effects, though my libido did go up for some reason (which is highly unusual, normally if there's any change, the opposite happens).Also, note that dutasteride is significantly more potent than finasteride. A 0.5mg dose of dutasteride (which is all you need in my opinion) is more effective than 5mg of finasteride.>tl;dr: dutasteride is able to block more DHT production than finasteride, and it's significantly more potent. With that said, the longer half life can make it less appealing for those who are super worried about side effects. Nonetheless, I'd still recommend going with dutasteride every time.
