Why was Pluribus able to show its homosexual main character kissing a person of their same sex within the first season, whereas Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul were never able to do this with their prominent male homosexual character across their combined elevel seasons?
>>
>>42247582
Because lesbians are hot and other faggotry is frowned upon by society
>>
>>42247582
I assume you’re talking about gus and it’s pretty obvious why his last appearance has him leaving a man he was interested in cause he can’t let anybody get too close cause of the business he’s in breaking bad and better call saul are criminal stories lol
>>
>>42247592
But lesbians say the patriarchy hates lesbian shows.
>>
>>42247582
Because breaking bad came out twenty years ago you stupid fag
>>
barelly related but did anyone think pluribus was kinda mid? like nothing fucking happened and it was mildly interesting ig but like nothing fucking happened so like
>>
>>42247752
I didn’t watch it because I’m not going to get tricked into atmospheric mystery box shows anymore.
>>
>>42247747
Better Call Saul did not, and Will & Grace came out almost 30 years ago, anyway.
>>
>>42247582
I like the part where she says “well, I guess it’s plurbin time” and plurbs all over the place
>>
>>42247582
Even modern family refuses to show the gay couple kissing but will show straight people do it all the time, including having the 18 yo daughter kiss a 40 something actor(very much required for the plot y’know).
>>
>>42247802
And Ellen got cancelled a few years before Will and Grace got an Emmy.
Shit moves fast
>better yawn Saul
Gus was barely in it it would have been weird pandering
>>
>>42247922
>it it would have been weird pandering
LOL, LMAO.
>>
>>42247875
I wonder why...
>>
>>42247592
this. woman + woman = cute clean pure holy chaste romantic sweet empowering rejecting the patriarchy man + man = ew stinky hairy anal buttsex aids emasculating hypersexual faggotry. all societies are deeply repulsed by sodomizing faggots and always will be on a fundamental level, even the most liberal / progressive ones.
>>
>>42247582
Why are you relying on cable for depiction?
>>
>>42248977
I'm just surprised to see lesbians delusionally deny some very simple facts of Western society.
Hell, society in general. There are plenty of third-world countries where male homosexuality is illegal, but female homosexuality isn't.
>>
>>42247582
them never showing gus being intimate with a man weirdly enough is a pretty good choice for his character as weird as it may sound. not allowing gay characters to be gay was and is a fucked up and homophobic trope, but for gus it makes sense. when we see his bf die in the flashback its like all his humanity dies with him, whether it be love or even sexual desire. he literally builds his entire meth empire for the purpose of killing the narcos that killed his boyfriend, and once he does kill them he has this scene were he looks so empty inside. his lifes goal achieve, now what? love again? just to be hurt once more? he denies himself that pleasure despite finally being free from any danger(aside from walt) out of fear of being hurt once more; of being human again, and so he retreats into work. just expanding his empire more and more, becoming richer and richer; because why not? what else does he have? also why did i make an entire essay regarding the gay black guy from breaking bad on the gay 4chan board? this is stupid
>>
>>42247734
It is important for the matriarchy to maintain the level of privilege it has and beg for more privilege by claiming they're being oppressed and demand someone do something about it
>>
>>42247582
>>42247592
>>42247734
theyre right that theyre hated but wrong to assert they dont get superficial representation. het society likes lesbianism when its an accessory to rather than a competitor to heterosexual desire. a comparable level of representation would be if we started including like, omegaverse coded gay male couples in TV shows.
>>
>>42249961
>if we started including like, omegaverse coded gay male couples in TV shows.
Pleeeeaase
>>
>>42249086
i appreciate the effort anon. it was a really good analysis. i love you so much and im proud of you.
>>
>>42249961
>if we started including like, omegaverse coded gay male couples in TV shows
I would watch tv for this
>>
>>42249063
Transgenderism is a reaction to society not accepting gay people. Trannies believe they can have heterosexual gay sex by playing dress up and acting.
>>
>>42250979
>>42250995
the chinese have already done this with ABO Desire btw

>>42251031
you do not understand any of the things you just talked about
>>
>>42251320
>the chinese have already done this with ABO Desire btw
yeah but that's specifically an ABO show, not just ABO dynamics in gay relationships without ABO being mentioned
>>
>>42247734
>But lesbians say
there's ur mistake anon, listening to women who half are man hating and man imitating at the same time and the other half just hate men lmao
>>
>>42249961
>Pluribus
>superficial representation
>>
>>42251327
fair

>>42251352
i havent watched it, i largely dont watch TV because i utterly despise normies and heterosexuals
>>
Nohomo I had to stop watching that show it was terrible it was all filler
If it was a bunch of bbws and moobs and fat ass traps and hung femboys but it's the most vanilla boring shit

Then they had to put anti smoking ads on the fuel station scene that's what did it for me
BCS and bb where good this is crap

A large part is because gay romance in hollywood means too nasty old and/or fat dudes kissing. If they showed two twinks instead then it would be more accepted.
You’re not wrong about lesbians being more accepted than gays thoughbeit.

there’s gay sex scenes in heated rivalry tho
>>
>>42254557
>Bloys wouldn’t disclose how much HBO wound up paying for the U.S. rights for “Heated Rivalry,” but it doesn’t appear to be extravagant: “Another thing I was very impressed with was how this was a very reasonable acquisition,” he says. “I don’t know their budgets, but I’m very impressed with what they did based on the acquisition cost. This isn’t a huge tentpole budget that we’re looking at.”
https://variety.com/2025/tv/news/heated-rivalry-hbo-biggest-tv-show-surprise-hit-1236614905/

>But now, Gilligan has finally cashed in the blank check to which he’s been long entitled. And boy, has he. Pluribus has a reported budget of $15 million per episode, five times more than what the average Breaking Bad cost. That’s not quite as high as shows like House of the Dragon and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, but those are based on proven IP, at a moment when the industry seems afraid to spend big on anything but brand names. Pluribus, on the other hand, is a wholly original concept — one so strange and specific, I’m barely allowed to say anything about it, save that, as Apple TV+ describes it, the aforementioned most miserable person on Earth “must save the world from happiness.”

>niche, low budget productions made for a non-American streaming service can take more risks than a Hollywood production made for the streaming service owned by the second largest corporation on Earth by market cap
No way...
>>
>>42247582
Because people have a visceral disgust reaction to seeing men kill. You might as well show a guy eating dogshit. People don't have the same reaction to seeing women kiss.

The makers want people to watch their stuff, not turn it of in disgust
>>
>>42247752
I only saw the first episode. It was cool, but i dont know if the premise is good for a whole series. Seems more fitting as a twillight episode
>>
as a faggot i dont like seeimg other faggots kissing unless they're actually cute
in reality 90-95% of men are disgusting as fuck and no one wants to see that shit
>>
>>42255053
They won’t sell to HBOMax cause americans will destroy it with their woke bullshit…
>>
>>42255159
What?
>>
>>42255093
But lesbians tell me that cishet men hate their fiction, even though Orange is the New Black lasted 7 seasons and was produced between BB and BCS.
>>
>>42255773
They might hate it the same way they hate romcoms, but they don't hate it the same as they hate puke on the floor.
>>
>>42255830
Lesbians are delusional, then?
>>
>>42256059

one of the biggest shows on tv right now is basically hockey themed softcore gay pornography what are you talking about. gus fring is functionally asexual throughout the entirety of BB/BCS as his sexuality revolves solely around one man who died decades prior. The only time it would have made sense is in a flashback scene during season 4 of breaking bad, which came out in 2011. 2025=/=2011

>"True Love" is an episode of the American television series Dawson's Creek, which originally aired on The WB on May 24, 2000. The episode is notable for having featured primetime television's first passionate kiss between two men—Jack and Ethan—which has been called "a milestone in the timeline of gay representation in pop culture".
>>
So many ways to avoid saying that Vince included lesbian kisses because they turn him on, and refused to include gay kisses because they evidently aren't appealing to him.
>>
>>42247582
Plurbius is just human domestication guide but for normies, completely neutered and boring
>>
>>42261171

>>
>>42261447
Except with no developed characters besides the hive (which have a million contradictions, which maybe they explore idk), and carol who is a self absorbed narcissist (seems to be a running theme of main characters with this director), like i wish there was something interesting about carol like with walter or saul, but shes just nothing, and nothing fucking happens, the whole show is nothing

I swear to god theres more everything to even the worst HDG stories than this show
>>
>>42247582
Gay men are discriminated against in society, yes. The brutal black pill that trannies need to swallow is that until gay men are more accepted, trannies wont be either, because the zeitgeist views cis men and trannies the same. They need to team up to fight for AMAB rights.
>>
>>42261447
not an argument

>>42261852
>Except with no developed characters besides the hive
half the point is there are now a tiny minority of people, the show concentrates on carol, one person, and the mass of adjoined used to be people, another person
I think they develop carol pretty well, she changes dramatically over the first series
I find her interesting too, I find her pain interesting, her motivation, her anger, her genuine human reaction in the face of something insane, her contradictions, the way she's torn
I can understand not liking carol, especially when her character is contrasted to her implicit foil manousos, I don't understand not being able to see anything interesting there
I don't understand how you can think nothing happens, things happen, a lot of things happen, do I need to name the things that happen? I don't even mean in a simple literal sense, the final episode of this series opens with the subtle annihilation of a whole culture made possible by that culture's own ideas of collectivism in the head of the final person to maintain that culture, it's a brilliant moment, it's horrifying, it is a thing that happened o algo

They made Christopher walken make out with some ugly old jewfro guy.
Gay men on tv are allowed to be old and ugly and still have love scenes. But that’s invisible to you because you’re a tranny.
“Lesbians” on TV are only allowed to be two hot straight women making out for male titillation.
