I don’t have any real desires, dreams, or goals. I don’t feel passionate towards anything in particular. I don’t think I’m depressed, well, maybe I am, but I don’t feel like my feelings are that out of the ordinary, specially in places like these. I sometimes find myself hopelessly attached to people I meet, or rather to a romanticized version of them. I like to immerse myself in delusions. I like to believe there’s a person out there who will forever shape my life once we meet, or someone who will impart some obscure knowledge that permanently alters the direction of my life.
I keep waiting for that moment that will change everything, that will set in motion a chain of events where I finally have a reason to do things and to wake up every morning with purpose. I’m not stupid, I know how hopeless this way of thinking is. No one is coming to save me, i dont ask that, i dont want to burden someone else with my meaningless problems, i know everyone has their own. Still, it’s nice to delude oneself sometimes. I would like to find something everlasting, something that doesn’t erode with time, a connection that never goes away, I don’t know how other people endure the ever-changing nature of life.
I often think about places and people that aren’t part of my life anymore.
I have an incredibly hard time letting go. I wish things were different, or that I could change things that i did, but wishing does nothing. I keep thinking about the steps I’d need to take to change my life, but I struggle to see the point. At the end of it all, what’s there at the end? A life of mediocrity, moving from one pointless distraction to the next, just until I’m too old for anything but conformism, and I quietly let myself die.
I don’t know. I’m not looking for pity, answers, or advice,maybe this is just another way to pass the time.
Anyways, i just want to talk, at least for a little while
