Long story short: The Quran, the hadith (a collection of quotes & stories passed down through a chain of people that are supposedly about/attributed to the prophet) and Islamic culture are all different things. The vast majority of the spicy shit is in the latter two. Very few Muslims only follow the Quran and disregard the latter two. The Quran itself does not speak of trans people and the verses traditionally thought to be condemning gay people can be interpreted differently. Imo, Islam is OK with LGBT people. That said, there is interpreting religious texts in a way that is OK with LGBT people and then there's the weirdo hyperwoke deconstructionist types that you're probably thinking of. The kinds that make tiktoks about how God is nombinary or that person who stirred up a controversy by giving some lecture at an English church about Jesus' wound represented a vagina or whatever. Those ppl are on some wack shit. It's not my place to judge them or to say they're not religious or whatever, but I get the feeling that they're being blinded by wacky politics and act that way because of that.

Fairly simple concept, happens to work.If you're biased to a side then you've fallen for it. Most people do, don't feel bad. But it doesn't have to be that way, you can go your own way and live your real best life without being a pawn in someone else's game where the object is you lose and suffer and keep other people down with you.
