> be me> born with a genetic disease> look into starting HRT> realize the disease basically blocks almost any transition> hormones interact badly and massively increase cancer/tumor risk> talk to my doctor about it> doctor advises against it> says risks are serious> but technically still possible under strict conditionsdoomed to stay an effeminate gay waiting for twinkdeath to claim me
>>42287807okay that might be bad but remember doctors hate tranniesask on hrtgen and they'll probably have a solution for you
>>42287807i had kidney disease and held back because of the blockers. i assume it's the blockers that are stopping you? you can skip the blockers. most people do monotherapy.
give yourself tumours and cancee. better dead than repped
>>42287807if it’s not too invasive to ask, which genetic disorder do you have? I’ve heard of Addison’s Disease and Estrogen Insensitivity Syndrome, but it’s extremely extremely rare to hear cases of trans people having these conditions. Personally wanting to learn more if there are other disorder types or if it’s just one of these two.
>>42287824Not blockers, that's not really a problem in my opinion (except for cyproterone, which is impossible for me because of the risks). Simple progesterone increases the risk of cancer.I also thought about monotherapy, but I couldn't find anything on the subject and the “risks” involved. >>42287821I'll take a look at it. >>42287851No, that's not it. It's a disease categorized as neurological,” even though the problem is more physical
>>42287834Yeah, sure, but it's usually painful stuff, so if you're going to do it, you might as well do it without suffering.
>>42287807I just read another article saying that even estrogen can increase the risk of subcutaneous tumors. Doing it DIY is tricky—without proper medical supervision, I’m screwed
>>42289791>read another articleyou can't just say that. the internet is full of "articles" with no meaningful content.fact is that almost everything increases your risk of cancer, including being tall, building muscle, and going outside. being too scared of cancer will just stop you from ever living your life.
>>42289874Indeed, but there are very few sources/studies on the disease in question.Let's say that I have a much greater predisposition than the average person
>>42289941what disease is it?
>>42289952NF1 But I have a “mild” case, far from the horrors you find on Google Images. I don't have disgusting things on my skin, for example.
>>42287807Unless chemical castration is a standard treatment for cis people with the condition, there is no reason to prevent you from taking HRT.
>>42290000oh shit that sucks.is it like, an actually significant risk or just a baseline risk? maybe it's just that they're being extra cautious with you.also how would oestrogen increase risk of tumours? you already have oestrogen in you, surely?
>>42290000offtopic: nice numbers, nona!
