I got banned from reddit so I don't have access to the property subs to talk to about this but I started looking at apartments to buy this week. Maybe I'll finally feel like an adult when I have a place of my own instead of living in a sharehouse. Anyway I want to share my story because I'm drunk and lonely. Most of these apartments are fucking grim, no idea how people live in them. One apartment I went to the agent told me the seller lives overseas and wants to sell asap because they are losing lots of money. Owners corp fees are 10k a year. Was willing to sell at a 100k loss on a 500k apartment. I was shocked he was telling me this shit desu lol. Some of these foreign investors must be losing so much money (based). One place looked quite good but the bedroom is right next to the car park so I can just imagine getting woken up at 6am every day when people leave for work. Lots of places the agent said the seller wants to sell asap and was accepting any offers. The market in Melbourne is looking pretty good at the moment for sellers with the based and most progressive government in the country taxing landlords out of existence.
