I think I kind of became more of a reddit or twitter tranny as time went on. I remember back in like 2017 someone saying

and that stuck with me for a while. At some point after covid I wondered if I was actually dysphoric about my hands or if it was because someone had pointed out a biologically male feature I couldn't do anything about. It's like we put this unobtainable goal of being 1:1 the same as a cis person on a pedestal and then flagellate ourselves for not obtaining it. Like I really wondered what was genuine gender dysphoria and what was just internalizing society's transphobia. I know some non transitioning or misguided ally types want you to believe it's 100% internalized transphobia and for you to exist as a man in a dress with no hrt or surgeries, those people are wrong but it's not 0% either. When I turn all this stupid shit off and go outside and exist it's really not as bad as it feels on the internet. Yeah they can be extremely cringe but I kind of realized those redditors were wiser than us the entire time
