I really liked femtanyl when I was early in transition and just got out of the psych ward in 2023, I liked it bcuz it felt like it was "on my level". I had no friends and was doing drugs in my room at my parents' house, cutting myself daily and making weird rituals out of it. when I moved out, I had to spend hours scrubbing dried blood off of the hardwood floor, had to throw away like 1/4 of my shit because it was soaked in blood.
for a year or more, I had to completely stop listening to femtanyl because it would remind me of that period of my life and I would freak tf out internally. it was so painful to think I was ever like that.
now I'm in a pretty stable long term relationship, starting to make friends, and I'm able to listen to femtanyl without feeling awful. I like it because it's a good reminder of what I've been through, and I don't want to hide from it anymore. It feels honest, and the year where I couldn't listen to it made me incredibly sad, like having to give up a part of myself.
