No anon, HSV-1 is very common. Oral HSV-1 isn't even that stigmatized. Just be honest with people and try not to pass it on when it's you have a cold sore. Herpes is a nightmare. It cause organ failure, dementia and nerve damage leading to paralysis of the body.Recently a baby died from herpes, contracted from the mother during child birth. Its the most serious epidemic on earth yet nothing is being done about it. HIV can be treated but herpes can only be managed with 40 year old drugs
