what % of trans women do you know personally who have voice trained? i know a lot of trannies in my city and i'd say maybe 15% put effort into their voice outside of the average 'not trained faggy tranny' voice. i can count on one hand how many i know who have passing voices. i know voice training is hard for most people but considering it'll get you clocked no matter what you look like i don't understand why more women don't even bother? do they just give up after a month because it's 'too hard' and accept never passing to anyone? i don't get it at all.
>>42336775It takes a lot of dedication and also a lot of voice training resources out there are garbage. Also it's one of those things where it can really emphasize your own dysphoria.
>>42336775im lazy and eepy. ill never pass anyway so no incentive
what's the point. i'm boymoding
>>42336775the two trans women i talk to regularly both put an effort in
I was fortunate enough to not need voice training for my voice to pass. :TAlmost all of my trans friends voice train, but it’s frustrating when the science isn’t very concrete.
>>42336775voice training is not hard it just takes determination, which the average tran can't muster up
>>42336819i get suspicious of this. my voice does not pass to me, but people keep thinking it does. is it just being voice no male has is good enough to people who dont think about trannies all day
I don't think I know any trannies personally whole haven't tried, they just stop when they don't make progress and start again when they find some new advice. Its hard for people to commit to the 1000+ hour slog to get there unless you get lucky and notice improvement quickly.
>>42336839I think you’re just overly analytical. Early in my transition, I was pretty critical about certain aspects of my voice, but it was most definitely the most passing aspect about myself looking back.
>>42336775Most trannies are weak willed and will just throw around pathetic excuses to justify their laziness. Plus they all fuck each other so they don't need to worry about actually appealing to men. Feeds into the agamp
>>42336788it's not complicated and if someone actually puts in the effort they could have a passing voice in like 6 months.>>42336797have fun>>42336810if you ever think you will present as a woman, you should get started tonight.
>>42336775The boring answer is that many trans women have a disproportionately large online footprint compared to irl footprint and these troons are the least likely to voice train because they have the least pressing need for a passing voice. Yet you will hear from them the most on 4chan and reddit, usually trying to garner sympathy from us chauvinistic voice trainersThe other answer is that the mainstreaming of pity passing has made voice training less essential to being gendered correctly
>>42336819voice luckshits DNI. also what do you mean the science isn't concrete? increase your pitch and resonance. don't talk like a man.>>42336829correct!>>42336853it does not take 1000 hours of active practice >>42336884correct!
>>42336891>The other answer is that the mainstreaming of pity passing has made voice training less essential to being gendered correctlyI took that as reason to get better, actually.A lot of people think they can clock trannies by voice. But now they mostly look for the stereotypical tranny voice so those who train seriously don't get clocked at all :3
>>42336885>passing voice in like 6 monthsthis is true. but getting past that hurdle of sounding super annoying for a few months is tough.
>>42336912i love people like you because you fucking ignore the people who take years and go nowhere because again, there is no consensus on best methods
>>42336925Sounds like a skill issue. Multiple years? Come on
>>42336912you can get like 80% of a passing voice never speaking to another human>>42336925literally just skill issue. raise your pitch. learn how your larynx works. adjust your resonance. that's literally it.
>>42336925have you tried trying? Try Sumian voice or alyssavt
imo the wide range of complications people have and variation of time it takes to sound good has to do with people having very different voicesso, for example if you start off having a very feminine voice you won't have a hard timeif you have a very manly voice, like andre the giant or something you're owned and it will take yearsi also think there is a lot of snake oil tier bullshit in voice training that does nothing
Voice trained here. It doesn't give me problems irl, in voicechats or videogames but if I post examples people say it's not quite there. I'm pretty much at my limit though unless I got surgery. I remember the double takes and being looked at like a weirdo before I did so I don't think people are hugboxxing me irl but I know it's also not a cis tier voice. >i don't understand why more women don't even bother?>Resources suck ass. That channel that uploads 100 something videos and makes it really convoluted is actually just trying to confuse you and funnel you into paying for 1 on 1 lessons, she has financial incentive for someone to not figure it out easily. >dysphoriaWomen hear themselves in vocaroo and it sounds like shit, they get really sad and want to cry, they give up. Their throat hurts the entire time. The act of training subconsciously gets filtered into something the brain categorizes as a feel bad activity. >its hardIt is the single most difficult thing transitioning. It's more comparable to becoming a powerlifter, artist, learning a second language etc. from scratch than any other act of transitioning.
