The year is 2043. Troonism has finally been solved. It was true what Powers figured: It was all mostly due to genetic and hormonal anomalies. However, Blanchard was of course also in the end accepted as partly correct: Autosexuality is more common amongst trooners and pooners. This is however not what ultimately caused dysphoria. Similar to how siblings who grow up together don't tend to develop sexual feelings for eachother, most cis homosexuals aren't attracted to just being their sex, or the cultural artifacts associated with it. However, the gynephilic trooners and androphilic pooners had something in common with siblings growing up in separate homes, or even countries: The can develop sexual feelings for the similar other. For the separated siblings, the anomalous object of attraction was the other sibling, but for the troonies and poonies, it was instead the nature and culture that they were "supposed" to have had forced upon them all their life, like normal people, but in the end didn't, because of their actual sex. AGP is what happens most often when a person with both a female identity and attraction to females/feminitity grows up without it, and AAP what happens when a person with a male identity and attraction to males/masculinity grows up without it.

You know people are going to be like "haha schizo" but your explanation of autosexuality is an angle I don't ever remember seeing before and is really interesting

I don't see what's particularly "schizo" about it. I see it as the copefueled "AGP is gynephilic trannies fetishising dysphoria feelings cope something something" that anti-blanchardists tout. But with an explanation that fits into a larger system. Blanchardism has a very coherent and logical system, until you reach the question "why is HSTS as dysphoric as AGP?", and the whole system fails. Mind you, I have only read the blanchardists; Blanchard, Lawrence, Illy, and then everything posted by dr. Powers. I have not read Serano or whoever else there is in that camp. I believe those people are "queer theorists", which does not sound very attractive. But I might be wrong. I prefer hard science explanations as far as they go: After all, I trooned out due to SEX dysphoria, not GENDER dysphoria

Serano is about as scientific as Blanchard tbhon. Only one that's really valid to look at is Powers because it's much more empirical rather than ideological.

I'm not calling it schizo, just predicting that people are going to come in here and say that. It's an original thought you had and I think it's an interesting idea for sure

>AGP is what happens most often when a person with both a female identity and attraction to females/feminitity grows up without femininity
i've been around for 5-6 years and this is a pretty common take from ex-reppers who transitioned and more or less adjusted to the real world

AGPs are in fact punished HSTSs yes.

it's not original anon, but yeah, OP made a good post.

>I believe those people are "queer theorists", which does not sound very attractive
serano's "whipping girl" is pretty good honestly. I can understand being scared off by an unattractive transbian, but pls try to look past that.
/lgbt/ has this thing where people prefer "hard truths", which usually just means they steer towards self-hating attitudes. Please understand that this bias isn't any different from the hugboxy "everyone is valid!" bullshit
>I prefer hard science explanations
i agree with >>42351738 Serano is about as scientific as Blanchard. It's all vibes through and through: "ugly and autistic=bad, pretty and normie=good".
plus don't forget that we haven't really figured out gay people yet, and they are a lot simpler than whatever the fuck is going on with dysphoric people, so I wouldn't get my hopes up for an actual "scientific" explanation as to why we are the way we are.
