I dont think humans are meant to grind away in soulless jobs, and we're not meant to be neets either.

We're meant to have a purpose, i think. And a community.

Lmao bruh i just drink a fourloko or 2 usually gets me fucked up for the whole night and the shit is cheap but as soon as i can get liquor im probably gonna start slamming Hennessy down
>>
i think cooking for myself keeps me grounded a little bit, i try to make something fairly nice every day even if i can barely manage anything else. also going outside to look at bugs always helps me feel better but right now everything's all cold and lifeless and covered in shitty grey watery snow sludge and i hate it
>>
>>42377979
that sounds horrible.. im sorry to hear that anon... what causes that reaction from people? are you visibly trans/gay in a shitty area?

I looked this up, the website that sells it calls it a premium malt beverage. You must be rich to drink so a prestigious drink!

Hennessey is popular, i remember going out and everyone had a bottle. I havent been out in a long time
>>
>>42378018
Cooking is nice, i like that things go from inedible to edible, just add heat.

Do you live near woodland? The bugs will all be sleeping until the spring now, humans should learn to hibernate too
>>
>>42378021
I love cookies, and layer cake. Cakes are probably the main reason i havent ended it yet lol, that and my video games. Starting to get into movies again too.

Yeah, i live somewhere hostile, i just have to be careful i dont get hurt, avoid eye contact, walk quickly, dont go out when dark

Thanks for the links anon. I found my old headphones, so its interesting to actually hear hidden melodies and beats in music again

One extremely easy thing to do is garlic butter.
Just make butter melt into a pan with some thinly sliced (or grated) garlic for like 5 minutes and then it's ready. just make sure nothing gets dark brown.
Extremely good sauce for plain white rice!

>>42377836
Listen to music and look at art and photography on pinterest + tumblr
Read manga or vns that I like
Drink green tea or Korean roasted barley tea (this is especially good for detoxifying your stomach / body)

I found out about this recently from pinterest and I think pouring tea INTO FOOD is the food equivalent of nails on a chalkboard
>sankaibushi
it says it has umeboshi paste, my mom actually used to give me umeboshi paste for stomach problems when i was a kid and it really helped. she taught me about macrobiotics, its traditional Japanese diet and East Asian medicine
I also liked drinking matcha tea because she told me macrobiotics recommends matcha and kukicha tea because they have less caffeine but in my experience I noticed that matcha tea gives me bad luck. People think I'm crazy and its my ocd but I've experienced examples that show me it's not just a coincidence. Chinese people also talk about this and say how certain types of elements (in their 5 elements system) and/or colors affect different people and give them good or bad luck. I think everybody is playing on their own "settings" in reality and has different things that work for them specifically
Also I think red miso may be healthier than white
>>
>>42378074
That shit is 4 dollars far from prestigious back in the day it used to get you real fucked up tho
>>
>>42378222
I tried it and its okay. The tea is not supposed to be hot otherwise the rice gets cooked in it. Just warm. And just a little bath, you don't cover everything, it's not a soup. I used genmaicha instead of plain green tea. The thing is to also let the rice cool down so its doesn't disintegrate in the tea.

>sankaibush
I don't have a pot right now but it's umeboshi with bonito.

Isn't matcha supposed to have more caffeine since it's shade-grown? You should consider hojicha it has almost no caffeine in it.

Red miso is good. I love all miso. I have one that is really dark. Very difficult to use and quickly overtaken by anything citrusy/agrumy. I use it with onions cooked in it for added sharpness and a little ponzu, as a ramen sauce with buckwheat soba.
>>
>>42378299
I'm not sure, but I noticed organic matcha would make me calm and give me really good blood circulation because I would suddenly get the urge to stretch a lot right after drinking it and it would feel really good lol
And thanks, I think I've seen hojicha in the store before. I just tried Korean roasted barley tea last night for the first time and it was amazing. My stomach felt so good after, it felt like a full body detox and I had more energy. It was really nice for my stomach especially because it tasted perfect, it wasn't too bitter or sour. It was like taking a shower after a workout but for my stomach lol
I've had soba noodles before, they're really good. Macrobiotics also says that buckwheat is really good to eat in winter because it keeps your body warm
>>
>>42378199
I'm happy you like it, I think whoever runs it has amazing taste.
If you dont want to get fat from sweets, just drink regular green tea (sencha which is Japanese, or Chinese green tea) and dont eat sweets that have eggs in them.
I also don't eat meat or dairy products (except chocolate sometimes) which helps.
Did you know that humans have longer digestive tracts than carnivorous animals, so when they eat meat, it passes through their body quickly, but when humans eat meat, it takes longer to pass through, and as a result causes buildup of bacteria which leads to development of disease? I found out about this in a book about macrobiotics

Ive been taking a detox drink, but its probably the most horrendously disgusting thing ive ever swallowed.

Its like 9 different powders combined, but god damn its great at detoxxing the body, it really does just transform your insides into something good
>>
>>42378336
There is also a lot of barley tea in Japan. For me I find it gives me stronger dreams. I especially like to mix it with cream a little sugar. I just find it to be bad for my teeth I get lot of plaque the day after.

Hojicha is very different from oolong or black tea. It’s a roasted green tea with a savory flavor and a very gentle taste.

Buckwheat noodles contain a lot of starch, so I rinse them briefly before eating. In some Japanese restaurants, you can also drink a bit of the cooking water, white and very cloudy. It's called sobayu.

You should try roasted dandelion root tea. I drink that a lot but I like the Korean barley tea more now since I've tried it

A popular choice in Japan for detox is burdock. It's taste is like "dirt and peanuts" haha.
I've never been into this "detox" thing, I just enjoy all the different tastes :)
>>

>For me I find it gives me stronger dreams.
That's so interesting
I had vivid dreams my entire life since I was a kid until some supernatural stuff I did around a year ago that made me stop being able to remember my dreams for the most part ever since. Nowadays I'll remember a few images from my dream and forget everything else but then later in the day I see a word or something that was in my dream and then I remember that part of the dream.
Do you live in Japan? I personally like Korea more (and my birth name is also a Korean girls name lol) and my Mom had a dream where she saw an island that had specific characteristics that match an island that exists in Korea, she found out about the island after the dream.

I've had bottled oolong tea a few times and I liked it. I don't recall how black tea affected me but I avoid it because apparently it's high caffeine and coffee has made my ocd much worse every single time I've drank it.
>>
>>42377938
I'm so sorry to hear that. I don't know your exact situation, but I hope you feel better soon. I used to hug people when I was feeling really down, but unfortunately, not everyone is willing to hug a stranger.
For now I sent u a hug and everyone else on this thread too
>>
>>42378415
I like tea because of how it affects me physiologically and mentally. I notice a difference
>>
>>42378464
For now I'm in Japan but I will have to leave soon :(
I wanted to visit Korea but I have a bad infection right now.

For the dreams, I always wanted to induce lucid dreams. I never managed to have them voluntarily, but it happened a few times.
For me, recalling my dreams it tied with my mood and overall health. I don't recall anything if I am depressed. But they can get pretty intense, and even nested in each others when I am healthy and happy.

Hojicha and oolong have a totally different taste. I even had hojicha before bed and it was fine (although there is a small amount of caffeine)

>I even had hojicha before bed and it was fine (although there is a small amount of caffeine
I think Asians are naturally more immune to caffeine or something, cause I saw a pic on pinterest from I think a Korean girl of her holding 2 cans of coffee and it was night, and in multiple different mangas there were scenes where characters were drinking coffee or tea at night. Ik people with adhd actually get relaxed from caffeine so idk
I actually have adhd but I dont think its that severe and when I drink matcha tea or green tea in the evening I cant sleep for a while, but when I drink green tea in the morning I often fall asleep again quickly after, it's weird
>>
>>42378633
Well, their coffee is drip coffee, and has less caffeine by cup compared to espressos.
Although I did see some couple get a big cup of black coffee from the konbini past midnight lol.

Tea also contains L-Theanine which acts as some kind of "relaxant" but also interacts with caffeine. It's specific effects probably changes from person to person.

I just ate some chocolate! Ice cream later.

Im just actually hungry
