>be me, depressed chaser
>finally find a trans gf again after 4 miserable years
>still depressed

What the actual fuck? Why aren't I happy? Getting a gf (especially a trans gf) is the ultimate aspiration. What more is there in life?

I had to learn this lesson hard, because your in a relationship it doesn't make you happy. It certainly helps, but it isn't the whole picture. Take care of her, and take care of yourself.

This is probably the best answer your going to get, since the delusional miserable transbians will tell you otherwise.

This anon is right, how are you going to take care of her if you're not feeling strong and happy? I know this is going to be generic advice but that's because it works most of the time:
Eat clean
Lift
Cardio
Get out in nature and take her with you
Productive hobbies
You're just going to make your gfs life worse by attaching her to your misery and life is already on nightmare mode for trannies.

these 2 are both correct. get therapy as well. if you're your current age and you still haven't figured out how to be happy on your own, there's genuinely a real risk you'll never figure it out on your own. therapy is expensive but worth it. better than a half lived life of wasted potential due to being only 60% there at all times. do it for your gf. be the best you you can for your gf. thats the ultimate aspiration.

Therapist here. Even if you change the conditions of your life to be less depression inducing, your mind is still in the habit of being depressed. The non-pathological form of depression is one in which you have a real problem, then your body slows you down to think of a solution. This was the main inner mechanism our ancient ancestors had to solve problems. Depression as a disorder comes about when you cannot find a solution but your body is constantly slowing you down to look for one that it can never find.

It will be a slow process to train your body out of this. Take stock of what coping skills work best for you, and use them. Other people are your greatest asset in this regard. Seek cheer from them without loading them down with your issues. You will probably be fine eventually, if you work diligently to convince your body it is no longer in danger. Good luck.

The same happened to me. Earlier this year, I started dating a friend I'd had a crush on for the longest time. Everything in my life seemed to be going well, or at least better than usual, but I didn't feel much better. It wasn't the solution I was hoping for. She broke up with me a week ago.

First time? The idea of things are always better than the reality. And the more you idealise it, the more reality can only disappoint.
