>>42400796>>42400833the turnout trump received in 2020 came from different places than in 2024. a lot of people who did not vote in 2020 actually voted for trump in 2024. and, like i said, he also did a better job mobilizing his own base. the democrats did fuck up and i wish one of them could grow a fucking spine on trans rights. i think the general democratic cowardice in the face of begged questions like "can a man become a woman?" weakens the whole platform, because it's pretty easy to explain clearly and concisely why that question assumes its own answer. even the generally idiotic swing voters can understand concepts of birth assignment, being intersex, gender dysphoria, etc. (especially if explained calmly by a pretty white cis man, unfortunately)
