Are you taking biotin?
>>
is it safe to get private blood tests? i'm scared of going there and being found out

what test do i get?
>>
How long are you supposed to stay on prog?
>>
>>42471387
I think forever but cycling it is good.
>>
i can only find insulin syringes that are thin. like 26-30G. are these even ok for drawing?
my understanding is that i'd need like 22G if i wanted to draw and inject with the same needle.
>>
Just injected 2mg of valerate for the first time after flip flopping between wanting HRT and hating it.
I wonder how many times I'm going to stop and start it like an indecisive retard!

If you are doing subQ then 26-30G is perfect no need to change needles and not possible for insulin needles. IM is also not possible with insulin needles.

30G might be to small for some heavier oils, meaning drawing and injecting might take longer but will still work. I personally use 27G 5/8”
>>
>>42469649
no i take like a multivitamin frequently though why?
>>
I didn't draw with it but 30g needles are so nice and painless. does inject slower though
>>
>>42473737
nta, but biotin artificially raised e levels on tests. something along the lines of biotin binding to the antibodies used to test for e, leading to erroneously high levels (your e isnt actually increased, it's just high on the test itself) check your multivitamin for biotin. unless you're taking a ridiculous amount of e it's actually quite normal to get a number like this if you're on biotin
>>
>>42473734
why isnt it possible to do IM with insulin needles? like provided that they're long enough (say 1 inch)?
>>
>>42470110
just test e2 and t if youre injecting. dont worry about getting outed nobody gives a shit what youre testing for and cis men test their t and e2 sometimes for sexual health or whatever

Usually if they are branded insulin they are ment for subQ, but in theory it could be used for IM. I know that bodybuilders do something called a “shallow IM” injections where they use those insulin needles in places of low body fat to inject to the “muscle” because the fixed insulin needles are usually cheaper.

It doesn’t matter if you are doing subQ or IM. subQ is just “easier” since you don’t need to change needles for drawing and injecting and “less scary” since the needle lengths are shorter. But again it doesn’t matter if it is subQ or IM.
>>
>>42472634
if you draw and inject with the same needle youll end up with a little bit of needle blunting but besides that 26-30 will be fine, just slower drawup.

idk if the other anon knows something that i dont but a 1 inch insulin needle should be fine for im, i prefer thicker gauges though which the insulin needles usually arent
>>
>>42474695
I assume you are using different needle for injecting and drawing. Those fixed insulin needles it’s not the best practice for IM just because of the blunting that happens. But it’s really to each their own, whatever is the most comfortable.
>>
>>42472634
it mostly depends if your doing diy or pharma. diy usually makes thinner oils on purpose while pharma is heavier
>>
>>42474635
do i need to get a specific test?
aren't the tests for female and male ranges different

>dont worry about getting outed nobody gives a shit what youre testing for and cis men test their t and e2 sometimes for sexual health or whatever
i'm worried about when they see the results they'll know and i'm also just scared of people
>>
>>42478001
> do i need to get a specific test?
not really. ranges are different yes but the actual tests are usually the same, the range is just so they can automatically flag "dangerous levels". my last test came in all red since my t was "far below normal ranges" but thats kinda the point.

>i'm worried about when they see the results they'll know and i'm also just scared of people
ok i mean in all likelihood they literally will not give a shit. i dont know how the specific lab youre looking at works but typically the person doing the blood draw and the person doing the testing are completely different (like, usually different companies entirely) so at worst youre getting judged by some random lab rat who has never even seen you. all the person whos drawing from you knows is what youre getting tested for.
even if you did give a shit about some nerd knowing youre trans, you can plausibly deny as a dude with prostate cancer or some shit, im pretty sure they do like 20mg ev/week or something.
being scared of people is real as hell but idk nona i personally would rather get literally hatecrimed and avoid the hondose/blood clots. at least, thats how i convinced myself to get my levels checked
>>
>>42474657
>>42474695
thanks a lot as always nonas
>>42477577
diy, MCT, which should be the thinnest one i think
>>
>>42478124
>the actual tests are usually the same
are they? theres 2 types of tests ia and ms
ia is cheaper but i don't think it's precise enough for female t levels
i don't know if i need a specific test for estrogen or not
the tests are kinda expensive as well so i don't want to waste money

>you can plausibly deny as a dude with prostate cancer or some shit,
well a doctor who knows about that stuff would immediately realize i'm only testing sex hormones and not the entire panel for prostate cancer

>being scared of people is real as hell
i'm overthinking everything but it's just scary doing something like this

>at least, thats how i convinced myself to get my levels checked
yeah if i don't get it checked i'm going to constantly worry that i should
>>
>>42478323
>are they? theres 2 types of tests ia and ms
again i dont know your actual lab so idk but the "male hormone panel" thing that i get done at my lab is lcmsms for both. actually im not even sure if they even offer ia for t

>well a doctor who knows about that stuff would immediately realize i'm only testing sex hormones and not the entire panel for prostate cancer
sure nona idk im not gonna sit here and try to shoot down every one of the excuses you make because at the end of the day you are gonna be able to convince yourself out of it if you really want to. i just think that getting your levels checked at least a few time is worth the cost

>it's just scary doing something like this
yea its scary as hell every time i go in especially as i get more visibly trans but like you said if i dont do it ill just always worry that im hondosing myself so
>>
>>42473886
thank u sm the multivitamin contains biotin and a bunch of b12 it must be the reason
>>
24 and still repping. You will NEVER get me to take my pills even though it would be super easy and you would barely even have to convince me because I am a high inhib anxious retard with no friends and will immediately get attached to anyone that’s even a little nice to me
>>
>>42480152
take your pills alice
>>
>>42480288
No
>>
>>42480291
great talk nona
see you in this thread in 3 months when youre asking for help injecting
>>
do you guys have mandatory medical inspections for workers once every N years where you live?
if so what the fuck do you even say when you have to strip down for the doctor and you have boobs? "i inject myself with bathtub estrogen because im mentally ill"?
>>
>>42478413
>again i dont know your actual lab
idk i've never done a private test before so i'm just looking around
>actually im not even sure if they even offer ia for t
by default they do ia tests on males because most men just care about if their t is low not the exact value

>i just think that getting your levels checked at least a few time is worth the cost
at least once seems important but i'm too scared to even get a haircut so this is freaking me out
but also it's over $100 for a test

>yea its scary as hell every time i go in especially as i get more visibly trans
i look like a man and a man on estrogen is a hon
