Good speech mannerisms but clocky, I hear a lot of strain in both higher and lower pitch, but it’s far less obvious when speaking in a lower pitch. Using your voice consistently throughout the day and talking to yourself (or playing online games) is the best way to get rid of that strain. That’s what I did, and I’ve lost a good portion of it albeit not all.

Wish I could give better advice but I’m fairly unfamiliar with MTF voice training. These are just base impressions

i hate to say this because it's so mean, but i feel like you have a little bit of the "fagcent". especialy in the second clip. it's okay. it's a lot better to have a fagcent then to just sound clueless. you'll get there. my biggest advice for pitch is practice practice practice. it's not really about 1 specific exercise, it's just about doing a lot of exercise. if you use your voice 24/7 and every day and are consistently trying to raise your pitch it will get better on it's own.

imagine where your voice is coming from out of your body in physical space. try to feel the vibrations and focus on it (you can even use your hands to help with this). imagine that when you speak, your voice is all the way deep down in your chest and it's dark and heavy. if you raise it a little bit, up your neck and to the back of your throat, projecting from there it can feel kind of hollow and empty. less unsupported, croaky. then from there, try to bring it forward, down your tongue and to your lips. so it's buzzy and clear and warm. that's where you want your resonance to be.

MEN speak from their chest and women speak from their mouth and people who are having a hard time speak from the back of their throat. if you're having a hard time with wrapping your head around this, try doing a kermit the frog impression. that will be more nasal and that's of course not how you wanna sound but it gives you an idea of what it feels like to have your resonance all up front. i like to imagine it as a little ball of light in my mind and it's like where my voice is radiating out from. im not perfect with it either though i slide back into my throat a lot too. it can be scary. but if you can master this it does a lot for passibility and femininity and all that. it also does a lot for pleasantness. you wanna reverberate. but not like masculine ooooohhh uuuuhhhh. like feminine mmmmmm, aaaaaa. hopefully this makes any sense at all.

It means gay, they were saying I sounded like I was suppressing the fagcent in my voice. It passes as male, but when I speak it raises “abnormal” flags for a lot of people in my experience, which is why I’m looking for a superschizo who can point out everything normies can’t consciously recognize but that gives off the tell.

It’s good to know that my voice sounds forced, I’ll try to figure out a way to undo that since I’m not modifying my pitch, just my mannerisms. Last time I posted here people said I sounded too monotone so I tried to fix that in the recent clip.

it might help if you provided a longer clip. in the short one you provided you're very very monotone and consistent throughout so it doesn't have a whole lot to pick apart. more monotone than most cis guys. if you're having an issue with people questioning your voice i would suspect that it's due to an issue that isn't present in this clip, maybe when you're being more expressive or expressing a certain emotion? i don't know what i want you to record it could be anything really, singing, roleplaying a customer service interaction, just telling a story maybe. anything really just show a little emotion and lets see if it makes you sound a little different. unless you feel strongly that this really is a representative sample of how you speak 100% of the time.

it could also be your voice matched with how you look, maybe you don't sound how people expect you to based off that? i have no idea what you look like though so that's just a random guess.

I’m not sure why I’m more monotone than most, I think I improved a great deal from the last clip with expressiveness and it may just be an issue of recording my voice alone with nothing particularly emotional going on

I’m definitely more expressive with other people, but I tend to do that through voice impressions/voice acting out characters I’ve made up for the bit, I’m not sure that I naturally have a lot of variability. Maybe that’s a part of the uncanny issue, but I still don’t know what I do to give off a gay impression.

What do you think is causing it to sound forced? I’ve been training out imperfections for a while now, so I’ll be diligent with anything you can give me.

I appreciate it, I think the root of a lot of my problems is needing to become NT and have vocal mannerisms come to me naturally. Most of my voice training has been to sound natural and human (and train out the faggy ftm intonations, but I didn’t have much). I wasn’t socialized as either sex and didn’t have much interaction with people, so I’m a bit of a retard and need to put in some extra effort to appear normal. I really appreciate you and everything you’ve provided for me in this thread, it’s nice to have an outside perspective since I can’t fully understand everything that’s wrong with my own impression. i feel like you have a pretty androgynous voice maybe slightly leaning masculine. I can't even tell if you're mtf or ftm i would believe either. i feel like your voice is too high to be typically masculine but too low to be typically feminine, so if your goal is to be one of those things i would alter it accordingly. My voice just naturally defaults to the higher one now because I've spent like 7 years making those muscles do that every day. That kinda counts as "not thinking about it" I think? It's the way my voice sounds in my head and my throat muscles just default to that, if that makes sense.
