in mtf's hyper competitiveness is a disqualifying characteristic as it's more in line with masculinity. so if you're evaluating an mtf you should consider how you would evaluate both sexes. if you would normally discard competitiveness in males, in females it would be a cause for alarm or concern as they're not competitive in the same way males are. so when you see these mtf's that want to compete in things like sport, it undermines the validity of their self-proclaimed gender identity. it's not that women can't or aren't competitive. it's that more often than not, they aren't in the same way men are.an example. men will train to beat the other team. women will train for the social experience, hanging out with the girls, and gossipping. hence you'll see a bunch of women go to pilates class together, but men will just lift free weights gratuitously by themselves.
