/lgbt/ is nice when there’s optional activities to do. I wish more people posted bingo, polls, survey, pic threads etc

>VocaloidI wonder what connection pooners develop to a genre largely made up of extremely depressed neet men expressing themselves anonymously through inhuman anime girl automatons
>>42686982it’s extremely popular with women too.And most people listen to some vocaloid songs because they’re good
>>42686982i used to listen to it once in a while, not really that into it but i like some nightcore and there's cross overcis dude btw
>>42686823>>42686771Why are normshits so sensitive, all I did was reee calm the fuck down and send some thoughts and prayers
>>42687033I'd counter that only the anime/"character" aspect of it is truly popular with women. Every time I meet a woman with any interest in vocaloid it usually stems from project diva or some other "fandom" type space treating the voicebanks as funny blorbos with headcanon personalities. I have yet to find a woman able to have a discussion about different producers and the evolution of different subgenres within the scene, or the technology behind vocal synthesis. >>42687046Hardcore as a whole is seeming to have large overlap with faster styles of edm music, and this niche is in my opinion what has allowed vocaloid to take a more mainstream role, as it bridges the gap perfectly and allows for easier accessibility thanks to the anonymity and lowered skill floor that using a vocal synth allows. I'm calling it now that Imanishi and other clean electronic/rock acts inspired by r906 will become much bigger names and potentially start popping up on small edm show tour routes.
>>42687151based edm scientistyou're probably right
>>42686929same i love talking to other people here, it's a nice change from all the "look at this reddit hon!" "look at this twitter theyfab!" "i'm from the sharty and i have shitty bait!"
