I cut my own hair, been doing it for over 16 years, but the last few times I just went to salons, before that, my father used to take me to barbers but they would always try to cut my hair too short claiming they don't know how to cut long hair, then he took me to one male stylist that was clearly gay but I guess he kinda hated me as he chopped me horribly, I refused to cut my hair since then, I was like 14, a few months later he asked me to get a haircut, of course I refused but he then explained to me that it was damaged and he would take me to a studio, it was the first time I genuinely felt accepted by him, they washed my hair, and did the whole thing, then they did a nice haircut, did that for a few years but then I "learned" how to do it myself.Kinda bad that I trust myself with the scissors tho, whenever I feel like shit I cut it very short.

The stylist never cared, but in highschool I was constantly bothered by this dumb autist, kinda weird he knew the name of haircuts and techniques but every single time I had a haircut he would tell everyone what I did exactly, I'd like to think he just hated me because if he had a secret crush on me would make it extremely creepy, he was very ugly and fat, terrible personality, surprised he had any friends at all.

Just kind of stopped getting haircuts last august when I started E. Haven't really done anything with it yet and I assume I can't just take it to my old barber.. Guess I gotta figure something out soon
>>42773416Last time I got my haircut by a pro was like 7 years ago, my gf cut it once during covid, and then I cut it myself once to about collar bone length. Honestly when it's super long it's really easy to cut yourself there's a YT channel with good guides, it's as easy as putting it up in like hair ties, and snip. I think I'm gonna use one of those tuts to give myself curtain bangs, and then actually work on snipping up my split ends. btw everyone compliments my hair still.
