My grandmother (who is dead now) was slightly homophobic and racist from what little I can remember. I remember when I was 12 she said she would be disappointed in me if I was gay (I have no idea what fucking brought that up) and I knew I was bisexual so I asked her what if I was bi, and she said she'd be disappointed but not as much lol. I didn't care and have never cared about "coming out of the closet" I was just curious what she would say.
>inb4 "she was always like that"
It's easy to say that but like she was a very charitable person. She adopted a black kid. She let black and gay people stay over at her house when they didn't have a place to stay. A homophobe/racist wouldn't do that. I don't know what happened because by the time I was alive she was too old to really have a social life and be able to do that, so I never saw that side.

People born in different time periods are just that, different.
