ultrakill is popular because it's not actually a boomer shooter, it just has low res graphics

I loved Beyond Citadel personally, tho the last couple chapters definitely felt half-baked compared to the rest of it. But this game really stood out as like, guro but with actually good gameplay and some cool writing? Usually the games are just like, barebones sidescrollers or RPGs. But I loved all the guns, all the enemies, the vehicle sections, the gore was pretty hot desu, just a crowning achievement for grimdark anime girl sci-fi overall. This followed by Peripeteia the very next month was a strong start for 2025.
