You see many stories of someone "coming out" only to get told by his friends and family that they all knew already because he sounded so fruity.The fact you mentioned Lindsay Graham shows you already have an idea of what it's like to notice someone seems gay.There could be false positives, like people who like women but come across as gay. That doesn't disprove the point though. It just means there are false positives, like with any other kind of categorization people make.Psychiatrists might diagnosis someone with autism who turns out not to really have it based on diagnosis techniques a hundred years from now involving DNA tests or something, but that doesn't mean autism doesn't exist.
