>>42829538Gross. Move further north and we can talk. Enjoy swampland.
>>42829559this is as cold as I can tolerate, I'd like to move more into the mountains but also south a bit more too
>>42829589Nah you need colder and darker and wetter. That's where the magic is. On an unrelated note, any cool museums out your way? Planning a fall roadtrip down the blue ridge mountains but thinking of cutting coastal on the way back. Trying to decide between this and kayaking the Erie canal. Both have been knocking around my head for a bit but I don't have the vacation time to do both in one year
>>42829651oh you are kayaking the erie canal anonyou should talk to that other anon who suggested sea kayaking in the great lakes - that sounded perhaps more fun and he seemed to have good ideasI've tried cutting coastal and finding museums - I found an ok house museum in winston salem nc that was a formers governor's house but the more interesting stuff is deeper inif you are in nw pa you should see the indoor/outdoor museum at oil creek state park I also recommend the southwest virginia historical museum in big stone gap - cool little town, they were selling bison meat out of a cooler when I was last therethere's an overlook passing over black mountain between there and lynch, ky, as well as two (better) overlooks up in the national forest land near there at high rock (little tower) and flag rock - approach from the north if you want a paved uphill part r u gay or trans?
>>42829684Great lakes are more dangerous imo. The canal has an entire ecosystem for this type of thing. Not trying to get Fitzgeralded yk. I was also thinking CT river but apparently you have to portage quite a bit and I'm solo so it'd be super annoying. Time will tell>oil creek state park >big stone gapSick thanks. I try and lookup stuff from google maps and the like but actual recommendations are usually 100x better. Usually a combo of local interest articles, atlas obsura, museums on my membership passes, and random googling. Hit or miss>r u gay or trans?gay
>>42829767there's a coal mine that does tours on the ky side of black mountain but I recommend booking in advance I tried to get in there was like a state convention of something tours were all booked up portal 31 I think pinnacle rock state park has a great view, not too far from therebear rock is a nice view if you are already in the big stone gap area, maybe .5 mi total but the end is kinda sketchy (hop across a rock for the best view)the creek below bear rock (va) has a trail with three waterfalls on it, the uppermost is short and east to access - little stony creek ive gone to places 4chan suggested all the time, usually turns out well you said you are from nh? if you are in nj I highly, highly recommend the mineral museum (franklin, nj) they have EVERYTHING but precious gems and you can buy stuff too and there's a delicious empanada place just down the road and a hiking trail nearby I wanna do @ allamuchy state park, the part of NJ that's NW near the delaware river I guess (del water gap is real nice but can get crowded)
>>42829815I tend to stay away from reservations or ticketed events anyway. I don't like being tied to a time for stuff. Best part about making a planned itin is breaking it to checkout whatever the barista said was cool nearby. Previous research lead me to forked run, kinuza bridge, and colton point canyon rim trail. I had a whole route once upon a time but I'm gonna redo the whole thing. I typically camp to keep costs down but I get there so late I spend the night terrified of every little noise. If I showup before sundown and get the lay of the land it's not so badI was in nj last year for a similar trip. Popamora point was nice, Hawkins bridge was a great campsite, but I had a mustard pizza at papas tomato pie which was doooog shiiiit. Their regular was delicious but mustard was no good even for the novelty. Stopped at big rusty too. I'll be back eventually for a longer stay at Hawkins. Had a weird experience at night with some strange lights/sounds but in the morning it was really nice. Posted about it on out for quads >>>/out/2858888>allamuchy state parkYeah maybe the move is just a long weekend camping in southern nj. Not huge travel times even from my campsite so I could daytrip around and chill nights. Cheap too. Thanks for the reccs
>>42829965>I tend to stay away from reservations or ticketed events anywaylake lure/chimney rock (nc) is 100% worth it (costs money and requires timed reservations) and afaik you can get walk up tickets but you will have to park in the far lot and take a bus to the main parking area if you go at a popular timewhat is forked run? haven't heard of thatI was just at kinzua bridge last fall was gonna try to do a short trail near colton point but there was a road closure. >Popamora pointum what a beach?I mean the part of NJ over towards the delaware river we are talking about different parts of nj
>>42829965do you have a throwaway email you wouldn't mind sharing anon if you might wish to keep in touch?
>>42830041Yeah I was talking about a different part. It's a little coastal beach where you could see NYC. Cozy little area i stopped at in the am before heading south. didn't realize there'd be a levy or whatever between the road and the ocean after a certain point so I added hours to my drive to stare at nothing and be stuck in traffic. Nice while it lasted>>42830130Sure. throwaway911@tutamail.comDo you have a disc? I'm a phone poster so that would be easier. Nbd either way, I can't promise reasonable response times but I'm around and usually chatty.

Oh well. Tell Timmy I hope he's doing ok and I hope he liked the stuffed red panda. Peace
>>42829651The Blueridge Parkway is incredible. I rode the length of it on a motorcycle. Fucking magical experience.
