If you're talking about feminist theory, I actually did, mostly just because I needed insight on the ways I was now interacting with society as a woman and didn't really understand what I was supposed to be doing. Like I remember being quite shocked to discover that the idea of a Christian woman is not formalized at all, unlike a Christian man, which is extremely well developed. The two major feminine figures in the New Testament, The Virgin Mary, and Mary Magdalene, are barely in the gospels, and not discussed by Paul at all. And I still don't have a good answer to this question.How to be Christian, I think I'm on top of it. How to be a woman, that was a learning curve but I got there. How to be a Christian woman... either nobody told me, or nobody knows.
