I'll tell you two things.
1. They'll regret it when they're 70 and staring at their own graves thinking about all the things they wished they'd done. Your mum is definitely going to wish she'd focused on you instead of whatever bullshit she actually focussed on.
2. It doesn't matter that they caused the trauma, they really cannot fix it. You need therapy, Ai therapy is REALLY good at this (it's not good at everything), but dealing with childhood trauma is actually your responsibility. You're both wrong, Ai therapy and human therapy are both good tools to have in your mental health toolkit. The advantages of Ai are it's on tap for as much as you need (unpacking childhood trauma tends to take a while), it has no ego of it's own (it just gives you the prompts to keep talking), and it never burns out (human therapists can only take so much of your trauma before they start getting traumatized themselves).

What it can't do is offer genuine empathy or insight, you have to know what you want from your therapy going in and instruct the Ai on what you need. If you don't already know what you need then you need a human therapist to offer their expertise to help you figure out what sort of therapy you need.
