Discuss:
• Gaining weight intentionally for aesthetics, comfort, and femininity
• Fat distribution strategies with/without HRT
• Weight cycling and its effect on fat distro
• Success stories, progress pics, and personal results

Diet Strategy for Effective Weight Cycling:

Phase 1: Healthy Weight Loss
• Focus lean proteins and reduce carbohydrate intake to lose weight primarily from fat. Include chicken breast, fish, legumes, and leafy greens.
• Regular Cardiovascular Exercise: Engage in activities like brisk walking, cycling, or swimming to boost metabolism and fat loss.

Phase 2: Strategic Weight Gain
• Gradually increase calorie intake from healthy fats and proteins. Avocados, nuts, whole grains, and full-fat dairy.
• Incorporate exercises that target lower body, such as squats and lunges, which can help in sculpting the figure as weight is gained.

Foods to Include
• Complex Carbs: Quinoa, oats, and sweet potatoes provide sustained energy and help manage insulin levels.
• Lean Proteins: Enhance muscle tone and assist in controlled weight gain.
• Healthy Fats: Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil, flaxseeds, and walnuts can support hormone balance and healthy weight distribution.

Foods to Avoid
• Sugary Foods/Drinks: lead to rapid weight gain and unhealthy fat accumulation.
• Trans Fats: Margarine, fried foods, and baked goods negatively impact overall health and fat distro.

>"How many calories should I eat per day?"
Use the below calculator and eat a surplus of 3500 calories over a week.
For example, if your BMR is 1600, then eating 2300 per day will gain 1 pound per week.
https://www.calculator.net/bmr-calculator.html

QOTT: What does your diet look like? Do you cook with weight gain in mind or do you just see it as food?

Share results and strategies. Is the “fat pill” the unsung hero of transitioning?

so, the expandability hypothesis states that subcutaneous fat has a limited capacity to expand and that when it reaches that capacity, the fat spills over into visceral depots.
it seems like the rationale is
1) in healthy individuals, subcutaneous adipose tissue can expand as needed :)
2) in chronic overnutrition, adipogenic signalling proteins are downregulated and antiadipogenic signalling proteins are upregulated, limiting expandability
3) when expandability is limited, lipids spill over into ectopic deposits (liver, pancreas, omentum)
the consequence for this would be that EVERY individual (disregarding genetic freaks) has a limit to how much weight they can gain without it starting to have negative visual and physical effects. or in other words, everyone has an optimal weight where more weight would be masculinizing (and unhealthy) and less weight would also be masculinizing due to exposing bone structure more. in some individuals, this might be a lean weight, in others, it might be overweight or even obese.
it seems to still just be a hypothesis but it's gaining a lot of traction. part 2 is still being worked out for the specifics
studies that talk about it:

can you change this limit somehow?
i guess i should read the studies.
i really hope this isn't true, knowing my luck i'd be stuck at an ugly weight :(

i think they're working on this part lol. pio probably helps a little but if it was a magic bullet the medical researchers probably would've noticed

i think one of the reasons it's so hard for ppl to understand how body fat distribution changes with body weight or if body fat distribution changes with speed of weight gain is because no one wants to gain weight for the studies. which is annoying. also ethical concerns with weight gain problems health weise

I'm thin tho i just fantasize about it. I actually watch my weight very carefully but there's something lewd about throwing out my discipline and dedication (which I do take pride in!) to be a dumb fat cow with e-cups. It will stay a fantasy for me but waow

it all goes to my waist. women have boobs at my weight. they don't need to be fat to have boobs. my weight is normal it's not like i'm emaciated but i still don't have them because i'm male (estrogenated but god hates me and is proving i'm male and destined to be male by not giving me boobs)

>>43048557
ugh that sucks so bad .·°՞(っ-ᯅ-ς)՞°·. it doesnt make you a man though, its just bad genetic luck, i know many cis women that only gain weight at their waist, kinda just people built to be skinny.
:p

i honestly might try gaining weight again just so i don't have to see my gargantuan man ribcage as clearly. but the issue is that, as often is the issue with diets, the maintenance fucking sucks ass. and my knees suck so it's hard to exercise consistently. not impossible just hard.
i used to be like 130 pounds but i'm at 115 again because i stopped exercising which killed my appetite because i live in a suburban hellscape where it's impossible to cycle in the winter
>>43048575
>no seed oils
the reason you would want to reduce the amount of seed oils in your diet would be to increase the ratio of omega 6s to omega 3s but the issue is that if you actually look at canola oil's omega 6 to omega 3 ratio it's like 2:1 instead of 10:1 so like the kind of seed oil here really matters.
i will say that if seed oils, as some people say, promote inflammation, that would probably be bad for fat distribution because tumor necrosis factor alpha is antiadipogenic. but it seems like that's mainly a fried food issue rather than the seed oils themselves
>proteins
my protein intake wasn't exactly ideal but it wasn't dogshit either
>pio
i literally already did when i tried gaining weight. i still have a sizeable stockpile of the stuff.
regardless >>43048580 is right about genetics being more important it's just not meant to be for me
>>
I gained for the purpose of getting boob growth and it worked really well and even my face got a lot rounder and more feminine, but I was lucky with genetics. I wouldn't recommend gaining for everyone but it worked for me
