I think blanchardism was less of a thing then and trans stuff in general. The most common threads on lgbt when I used it were from chuddy gay men who are more rare nowadays. There also used to be a trans lesbian general /tlg/ which doesn't get posted anymore.Much of the bait nowadays seems to come from newfags who seem new to imageboards as a whole. The pepe / wojak stuff had fortunately not really blown up yet. It's interesting to see successive waves of newfag try to seem savvy and then pretend nothing ever existed before they were here. People would post those ms paint templates of what their goal self expression would look like more often iirc that you still see in /soc/ sometimes. I seem to recall there being more gender fluidity in that as well.
