I John 50’d in my mid-30’s. It seems like aging, masculinizing life changes, and identity crises can make dysphoria worse. It’s easy to say “I’ll just rep and become a man” when you have a 22 year old twink face, in ten years you’ll be seeing a baggier masculinized face in the mirror every day and people will start talking to you like you’re a middle aged man (because that’s what you’ll look like). My gender issues became worse the more I “settled down” and “became a man”. All I do now every day is obsess about my gender if I’m not immediately distracted by something. Maybe it’s possible some of you would have found a way to cope, but I wish I could go back to my 20’s and tell myself not to double down on masculinity.
